  2. For some strange reason software inventory only works when a machine is online, yet the information is already in your database but you cannot report on an individual offline asset.

If a machine breaks and is replaced by another asset, we need to know what software was installed on the machine before it broke.

    Cached software inventory is Live!

Thanks to your feedback Atera is now better than before.

You can now see the cached version of the software inventory for 'offline' devices! Learn more

  3. Add a report to find duplicate machines based on serial number or Mac address and offer to delete or merge them (Useful when someone has rebuilt a machine with a different name and has forgotten to remove the old one from Atera)

  7. Command prompt / terminal is opened as root. It would be great to define another user account which lower privileges. Also the terminal is not working if root has /sbin/nologin set.

  9. Windows Updates needs an overall, it's very confusing when you look at the updates as to which machine has or has not done the updates. When you look at the machine it's missing alot of updates.

  12. My customers are extremely privacy-conscious, an acceptance password for Splashtop to confirm the connection would help a lot. Just connecting to the machine is causing some problems.

  13. With Security ever growing and having some new clients that have had old IT staff "monitoring" other users' PCs including management - we have been asked if we can show the clients' end user when we are online. Splashtop shows it briefly, but we would like the ability to be able to permanently show the end user when we are online - so a banner in the bottom corner stating who is accessing the PC when they are connected - I feel this should be able to be switched on or off in case there are policy or issues where…

  15. We need to be able to search the device list. It's not in any sort of logical order, and we can't sort by/filter anything. A basic machine name search would be really useful.

  16. It would be nice if the Atera agent could discover and effectively manage hypervisors, as Hyper-V. That it detects the Hyper-V role installed, Virtual Machines running on each host, and show the statistics and status of all the VMs in almost real-time in the web console. Also, to be able to see the overall resource utilization like RAM, CPU, Disk, from the host side, so that we can confirm our virtualization host is going OK. Also later the ability to monitor and manage Hyper-V Clusters.

  17. Need to be able to see a "Patch Dashboard" where you can see the patches & clients in one view and can apply patches. Going into the "Band-Aid" on each machine really isn't a practical approach.

Congratulations on helping shape Atera! The feature you requested is currently being considered for development. Please be patient as the process can take a while or even stall to make way for other features. We’ll update you once it’s been implemented and released!

  18. Network Discovery: Auto-Deploy AteraAgent if not detected on machine.

Configure at customer/domain level and schedule your scan. If AteraAgent is not detected it is installed (laptop, server, desktop, etc).

  19. At the moment, the Atera UI shows us that a machine requires a reboot, but without running a command against each machine, it is not possible to identify if they require a reboot directly with the API. This would be a very useful feature for the purpose of patching and reporting.
