Merge Agents

It would be great if a machine has Windows reinstalled to be able to merge the old data with the new installation.

    This is huge...
    It shouldn't be hard for atera to scan an identifying data point (IE Serial Number, hardware hash, etc.) and merge a computer into an existing agent if it determines that it is the same...

    The duplicating of devices every time the atera agent is installed is really bothersome and doubles the upkeep needed to stay on top of all agents.

    It would make the password manager and attachment features much more useful. I would only probably use it for BIOS passwords and invoice upload perhaps, but it's still a pain if for example the hard drive was replaced, agent reinstalled but none of the history information relating to the old asset can move to the new.

    This goes hand in hand with my feature request

    +1 to this as well with a bit of a twist. Something to make life easier when replacing a PC. Perhaps with the same PC name is used Atera asks for confirmation or something or the like? Just replaced two desktops for clients today and had to be sure to follow in behind the on site tech and do house keeping.

    +1 to this request ! This has caused great deal of duplicate devices for us.
    It would be best if Atera generated a unique AgentID based on Hardware-hash value of Motherboard etc so after a reinstall that would remain same but will still be unique for different computers.
