Network Discovery Scanning results should mirror the ability of advanced ip scanner by adding comments to devices, also ability to group devices by custom names like Mac, PC, Desktop, Chromebook, Switches, Unknown, Ipads etc. The ultimate for rogue devices on your network would be adding some sign of a digital fingerprint to all your devices on your network via agent install . So that when a rogue device enters your network. Network discovery can auto label it as unknown or rogue device and separate it for easy security management and filtering.

  4. Please create a way to hide "Network Discovery" from the menu for those of use not interested in purchasing that feature. Having "Network Discovery" with a "+1" bubble is visually annoying.

  5. The network discovery option should be a free option.
    Now we run a free tool on a customer device. There are so many free tools which are doing a excellent job in network discovery. Very strange we have to pay for it separate in Atera. Realy don't understand this choice.

  8. Suggestions:

    1. Ability to scan multiple subnets from one agent - don't try to be too clever here and lock us down to selecting a monitoring agent that has only been shown to have a matching internal LAN IP address for the subnet we are wanting to audit. We could be auditing an existing network that we have a management netwok on for example, so we know a node on that subnet can see the other subnets no issue, or we could be completely new to a network and want to start polling all of the known subnets from one agent…

  9. It would be very nice to be able to use all features of Network Discovery with Azure AD

    Network Discovery with with Azure AD - Network Discovery is a nice tool but the cost it is unfortunate since support says it will only work with a Domain Controller with exception of seeing devices.

    All of our clients currently are using Azure AD to reduce cost of on-site servers (DCs) and it also minimizes virus/trojans.

  12. Having issues with getting Network Discover to work on Doman Controller. It would also be nice to be able to ABORT the discovery, instead of waiting for a timeout. Also, when it does fail, perhaps give some idea of the reason, i.e. Network Credentials, Firewall/Getting blocked. I am using the trial, and this is a huge issue if I can't get this to work.

  13. Sorting the result of network discovery by ip adress gives an alphabetic order (1, 10, 11, 12, .. 100, 101, 2, 20 21, 200, 201, ..3) instead of a correct alphanumeric sorting

  14. Network Discovery should how progress to know that it is working instead of finding out it failed after 3 hours. Other agents I use scan and begins showing the assets it finds as they are found. Further, these discoveries take under 30 minutes. So, you know if there is an issue pretty quickly. Waiting 3 hours to see if you have an issue is not reasonable.

  15. On non domain joined machines the network discovery shows that my machines are windows XP and not windows 10.

    Maybe fix that bug before implementing other features ?

  17. I think it would be great if the Network Discovery also provided an overview of the topology of the customers network. This makes it easier to have an overview of newly integrated customers that already have a somewhat big infrastructure

  18. I really like your solution!

    Please add a permission so Technician only can see their OWN customer when they use Network Discovery. Today Technicians can see ALL customers Network discovery objects and everything else because they need to have FULL admin rights. That is a problem, you can't give some technician FULL admin rights only to use the Network discovery. Usually you have different technicians that only have access to some customers and they should not have FULL admin rights on the whole portal. Please add more granular control here, a technician should only see his own customers…

    1. Installed Antivirus

      1. AV 1 (version, last scan)
      2. ...........
      3. AV n (version, last scan)
    2. Anti Spyware

    3. Firewall

    4. Open ports (both workstations/servers and SNMP devices)

  20. There are some clients where I cannot change or disable IPV6. This has broke Network Scanning. I need Network Discovery to have an option to "Use IPV4" only.
