  1. I'm currently evaluating Atera as a potential replacement for our existing help desk, which is lacking a really good asset management system. What I'm specifically needing is a better way to all of our assets as they come in the door and leave our environment for use. Ideally, the application would allow us to print labels in a variety of sizes for different devices and equipment, scan QR codes to checkin and checkout equipment (reserve equipment on the spot), complete maintenance surveys and allow users to take photos of equipment through the mobile app, and if I'm being a little…

  2. This could be really useful but there are a number of problems that are preventing us from using it:

    Chat does not push notifications to the OS. So, if the technician is not looking a the Atera portal page when a customer requests a chat session (which is 95% of the time), then the tech will be unaware of the request. This results in annoyed customers. I noticed that your technicians use Zendesk chat instead of your own chat----possibly for this reason.

  5. It took myself and support (even including escalations) far too long to figure out that if an SNMP device has device availability turned off, it will not trigger alerts at all even if the monitored OID rules have been met.

    The monitored OIDs should always be functional and alerts generated, even if device availability monitoring is turned off. For instance, I do not need an alert when someone turns the printer off, but I do need an alert if it is low on toner.

  6. It's great to have this feature but it's annoyingly hidden so many levels deep. I would bet many people don't even know it's there. I love the feature but it needs to be more front and center even if it's still somewhat limited. It's not really network discovery either, it's a security feature. Lets kick this software up a notch.

  7. It would be much more neater for the "Device" tab you guys chnaged the Web GUI to have company treeview of devices. Then from there the devices organized into folder. High level you are greeted with companies then expand to organized folders such as Tech defined AD Servers, Database Servers, Sales Desktops, Sales Laptop

    That way for cleaner and simpler access to the computers you need without needing to create 100s of save views.

  8. The shared password manager is used constantly by me and my team, but we are constantly running into the issue of one of us having the Authenticator associated with one of our clients accounts when servicing and needing them to authenticate for us. Sometimes they're busy, sometimes they don't see it, sometimes they deny it, and even worse, they're positively reinforced for accepting it without double checking it's one of us.

    A centralized shared authenticator would be a fantastic feature.

  12. Roles within Admin need to have the ability to have more control of what features each group has.
    Under RMM, the "Edit Device" feature is too strict. We want to be able to allow certain technicians to edit device names but not be able to delete them.

    Setting that can be turned off so that no technicians have the ability to delete anything.

  13. A report or a additional choice to the Software Inventory report, I love that I can see everyone with a piece of software installed, but I would love to see a report of people MISSING software. I think the software Inventory is great for this just needs to be adjusted to allow for both.

  14. I would like the ability to create a step by step automation to control the order of which tasks/scripts get installed and insert reboot/shutdown tasks as needed. The automation would complete when all tasks have been completed in order. Having the ability to stop or continue on a task failure would be helpful as well. This would be similar to the automation of a Task Sequence in SCCM.

  15. Info in Audit Log is often vague or missing. I want to see more activity. For example
    1. What script was ran not just 'a script was ran'.
    2. Patch installed, including patch name (currently patch install not recorded)
    3. Technician John connected remotely with Splashtop
    etc

  17. Please can you look at adding the functionality to remove any patch showing in the agent patch available status if the admin has removed or excluded said patches from availability. This will make the view cleaner as currently the agent machine reflects in the needing patches when actually they are up to date.

  19. The ability to adjust UI scaling or set a much more compact view (for the browser experience) is needed. Large fonts and plenty of whitespace may look neat and clear at first, but they don't often translate to speed and efficiency for work. Having to continuously scroll around to see more than 10 items or read subsequent comments in a relatively short conversation is not optimal. I would gladly exchange all the margins and padding for relevant information that keeps me productive.

  20. i will like atera to implement a feature to allow a pop message to appear in the centre of the screen for all clients at ones, the reason for that would be so ones a month i could update all systems without worrying that work was left unsaved, this way i could schedule a popup window with a signout button on it, and the message will read, Your IT is running updates overnight please save your work and click sign out at the end of your workday.
