What's New On Your Network - weekly report
I like the feature present in Spiceworks that sends a weekly report about what's new on the network in form of a resumee sent by email about newly installed software on machines (very useful and sometimes alerting), multiple instances of antiviruses on the same machine, antions needed on some network devices (eg printers).
(I'm unsure if it's already present in Atera)7 votes -

Bind Chat to Agent, NOT the User
MANY of our clients have users that do not have a company email. This makes it impossible to chat with them. We need the ability to chat with whoever is sitting at the machine instead of attempting to target the user specifically. Then perhaps allow the ability to assign it to a user or ticket.
This brings up the fact that we should be able to assign an agent to any ticket we want without it being bound to the user.

Restart In Progress
When running down the device list and doing manual reboots it would be really helpful having the Reboot Status known, if you manually already sent the Restart request (Clicked Restart) maybe the Reboot Needed can change to Restart Sent or something like that. Knowing if I already clicked restart on a specific machine is big!! Please Please Please!!! Thanks!!

Filevault
We currently Run Mac, Windows and Linux. A way to pull the Filevault recovery key just like the bitlocker key would be useful when users are traveling and have an issue. You can not always ensure that they have a copy of their key laying around in case of damage that needs to be repaired before they can return home.

ZFS - Status
"ZFS" is being used more and more with Linux.
The individual disks are displayed. However, this does not really help. The status is evaluated very simply with "zpool status".

Have agent service notify management server that a shutdown is in progress
Assuming that heartbeats are sent both ways for machine availability, the server end is slow to recognize a computer is offline. This can make testing things like Wake on LAN very slow. If the client agent can somehow notify the server that a shutdown event was recorded and update the portal much sooner that would save a lot of time. Alternatively, decrease heartbeat interval times? Sometimes have to wait 5-10 minutes after shutting down a machine before the portal recognizes the device is offline.

Device Details in Mobile App
There are many ways the mobile app can be improved. For the most part, it would be extremely useful to get a consistent UX between the different UIs.
To start with, here are some things that are currently available on the web UI that are not available in the mobile app:
1.) Machine Name (or computer name)
2.) Availability Monitoring (enabled/disabled)
3.) Date Added
4.) Last Logged User - there's a few things to say here. First, it should probably say "Last User Logon" so it makes more sense in English. Second, this is true for the web app and…52 votesWe are happy to inform that based on your idea and votes, we recently released a new version where you can see all the details of the Mac and Windows agents.

TrueNAS
Would love to have TrueNAS integrated as another backup solution. It can virtually be installed on any hardware.
Key Strengths:
• Data Redundancy & Scalability: Offers ZFS file system, which ensures data integrity and excellent scalability for growing storage needs.
• Open Source: No licensing costs; highly customizable compared to proprietary solutions like Acronis and Axient.
• Versatility: Supports multiple protocols like SMB, NFS, iSCSI, and more, making it ideal for varied environments.
• Virtualization Ready: Can host virtual machines (VMs) and containers, adding more functionality to its core storage features.
• Cost-Effective: The open-source nature and…5 votes -
Work From Home with Windows Server
It was explained to me by a support representative that Atera had decided that "Work From Home" should not be available on servers. I believe that decision should be relegated to us as the decision makers for these systems. Case in point: I have a third party consultant who needs access to a server to do maintenance on an accounting software. I believe it should be within my authority to authorize the use of Splashtop on this machine.

Offline Agent Change Interval
Offline agent Alert: When a machine goes offline, rebooted or something, we get a lot of tickets going offline. We get a 3 dozen tickets and even though they might not be. would be nice to choose the interval of how long a device is offline before sending alerts.

Scripts, on a case by case basis
When I am running a script against a single device, the overlay window covers up the machine name. The only way I can view the machine name is to maximize my browser window. I do not use a maximized browser window (ever). There are days I am pushing scripts to multiple machines, all on a case by case basis.
Please relocate the position of the script running overlay. Make the overlay screen smaller, and much lower on the screen, so I can still see the Device name without having to maximize my browser.
Or change the overlay window so…

deviceguid api
API: The possibility to find a computer by its DeviceGuid
The possibility to find a computer by its DeviceGuid, so there will only be 1 result, if the computer is there – then we don’t need to run through more machines with same “machineName”
Get agents for specified machine: GET /api/v3/agents/machine/{DeviceGuid}

Display a notice if a machine or client has a note on their account, kind of like a popup ad
When entering a client's account, if there's a note on the account (or on a device) have it make the users acknowledge that note (with an option to ignore for say 24 hours) instead of having it below where it is hard for people to notice.

Ability to archive retired devices
I want to be able to show my customers what machines have been replaced over the replacement cycle, so I do not want to delete retired machines from atera, I want to be able to mark them as retired and exclude them from everything except a retired assets report.
The current system of hide devices not seen for X days is not the same thing, Just because a device has not been switched on for say 300 days, does not mean that I do not need to know of it's existence for the fixed assets register.

The machine name and customer is no longer a hyperlink to open in new tab
So before the alerts page update, the device name and customer name was a unique hyperlink in which you can (by clicking the mouse wheel button) open the device or customer in a new page.
I need to open a new tab by clicking customer and manually navigating to the device within the customer devices list. This is not a great UI experience and I would appreciate if the old functionality could be restored.

Do not alert for scheduled reboots
If an automation calls for a scheduled reboot, the alert system should not alert "machine status unknown" right away. In these instances, it should wait some time (like 20-30 minutes) before alerting. 99% of the time, no alert should occur. If updates fail or a server doesn't come back up after a reboot, an alert should occur since the 20-30 minutes have elapsed.
