Syslog
Ability to collect syslog data from client (or local) network devices for alerts and log reviews. Might be able to use the custom report tool to parse the data? Understand that it might require a local NUC to collect the data.

Configure Multiple Monitoring Agents
I have a small business client who is all cloud based and doesn't have any servers that can act as a monitoring agent for devices on their network. I selected a desktop PC at their reception desk to act as the monitoring agent for the office printer but it is likely that PC will go offline. I'd like to be able to specify multiple monitoring agents to act as a fallback.

Firmware audit
Collect firmware version of network devices such as router, switches, printers and pull the actual version from the vendors to get a full overview of the patch state. Maybe let the community add information about the firmware sources/fields and location where to find the actual version from the vendor.
This could be report like or build into the smtp/device agent.10 votes -

Killing Two Ants With One Shoe
Title: Add Domain Account or specified accounts to Atera and to Shell/Scripts
Currently Atera uses system and current user for scripts and shell. Adding Domain credentials to Atera would eliminate storing passwords in clear text under scripts and make management easier for accessing domain resources - network drives etc...
With a system account - there is no access to domain network resources like drives. Yes there are work arounds using net use and possibly adding a domain account under Services.msc - Atera - Logon - domain account. What if the domain account breaks?....I mean yeah, there is a possibility to…

Implement a SSH webshell for accessing devices on networks.
It would be awesome if we could get a SSH webshell to access devices such as Cisco networking equipment from SNMP or just by specifying DNS/IP info. It could use a specified agent to execute the function.

Remote PCs in LAN -Does not have internet connection
Currently we can not connect to any PC in network if that PC does not have internet connection. due to which we have to use another tool to remote.
just for one purpose we are forced to use two different remote tool which does not make sense. It will be great , if Atera add this feature in future release.

Search inside knowledge base on category
we would love to have an category search feauture inside of the knowledge base.
an dropdown menu beside the searchbar, with the option to select category. ( We now use the Category as Customer name ) and the section as different names like : Network documentation, Server Documentation, Backup Documentation. inside these sections we use the articles to have the information of the customer.
Little note : Also when Editing 'Articles' we can click on the right side on 'Edit Article'.
There all Articles are sorted on Category's. Thats Perfect! Only When i click on 'Display in Section' This sorting…18 votes -
Dependent Alerts
I would very much like to setup dependent alerts. In one scenario I might have a WAN device setup as a primary monitor for a site, and all agents (Windows, Mac, TCP, SNMP, HTTP, and Generic) devices that are under that (ie: on the same network) would be dependent on that primary monitor.
This way, when internet connectivity is lost I don't get flooded with alerts from all monitored devices when they're offline or can't be reached.

Device MAC address info
If MAC address of devices can be captured and showed along with IP address, it will be helpful in troubleshooting network and security issues.

Adding Agents
The ability to add agents from any scanned device on a network scan, as some customers do not use a on premises domain controller and purely office 365 tenant or Azure AD.

Bulk move to Folder
It would be nice to be able to select and move multiple devices to folder. We deal with customer network takeovers, when we deploy Atera with GPOs or such and obtain tens to hundreds devices per customer at once. Then we need to sort them to Folders to apply correct Automation plans and Tresholds. This problem could be also solved with 'Agent-per-folder' installer which is already requested and voted for.

VPN
I would like to see an option to create an Ad-hoc VPN from a remote user with Atera Agent installed back to the office network with agents installed. This would be helpful to push out certain Group Policy updates and also allow software deployment from the corporate repository and Password management and sync for remote / office users.

Wake on Lan to use Public IP address
Wake-on-LAN: It’s a brilliant feature that for the most part works really well, however sometimes a local IP doesn’t get reported from the machine to Atera. It’s got one and it’ll be registered with the DHCP server on the network etc, but because it wasn’t reported to Atera, Atera can’t wake it up. I know the device could be woken up, and I then have to use additional tools to wake the device up, so if there was an override of some sort, or the Wake-on-LAN feature used the public IP address to define the network for instance, this would/should…

Custom tags with hierarchy like auto tags

Need this ability with our own created tags.2 votes -
External Monitoring
Have the ability to monitor firewalls externally via a cloud poller rather than a device inside the network - e.g. check a firewall over the internet for http / ping rather than relying on the host inside the network being on.
