Limit ticket loop notification
Ticketing: we have a client that puts us within a thread with their vendor, and then it creates a loop of tickets being created back and forth. If there were some way of stopping that. Limit amount of tickets in a certain period of time. Time based minute, if tickets get created at the same time then maybe that would be stopped. Too many tickets within a short period of time then it would stop sending out the response.

Creation of tag - standardized for all techs
Tags – now allow us to do custom tags. They are hard coded for a drop down. If we want to put some sort of status, one user may spell it one way and another tech another way, it kind of doesn’t maintain integrity from user to user. If you make a custom one, then make it to the list. So some standardization on the way it is written. Would really want. Would want to have it as a drop down. Would be very helpful

Include the option of specifying additional email address' for each customer.
Some users have and send support requests from multiple emails or aliases. This results in tickets not getting assigned to the correct contact. Syncro, Automate, and other PSA already have the ability to specify additional email addresses per contact.

Change Threshold profiles to use a Parent/Child relationship model
It would be nice if threshold profiles were overhauled to use a system that uses a default parent profile and then you just create child profiles that contain deviations from the parent profile, for example, say for example we decide that on most devices we want to change the space alert from 90% to 95%, at the moment you have to go through and update every single profile that you have created.
What would be nicer is if that all additional profiles inherited the settings in the parent profile and then you just tweak anything that you want to disable or override.
So If I have a server that has a different brand of AV on it from the one on all the other servers, i can create a new profile based on the parent profile just unselect that check from the baseline profile and add the the new alert. This will make it easier to make sure that any changes to the parent settings are applied to all child profiles instantaneously.
Basically replicate the way NTFS permissions inherit.

Map and GEO-Location integration with Remote Wipe.
It would be nice for the agent to show it's location if in case of a stolen device connects to the internet. Have the ability to schedule a remote wipe or scripted data removal if it checks in or even sound an alarm if a device is stolen nearby.

Please improve Block Hours
Most of the ideas posted related to Block Hours are GREAT ideas. Our company sells a LOT of block hours. As it stands Atera does not do a good job with this type of contract. When hours run out, you need to give us ability to PREVENT techs from using that contract which otherwise runs up the bill that will be a surprise for everyone. Also, some clients buy huge blocks of hours on-demand. When they run out or need budget money to spend, they buy more. You need a simple report/invoice that shows Beginning Balance, additions, subtractions, Ending Balance. Very simple. Please make this change and most of the block hour changes. Thank you.

Way not to e-mail contact when replying to ticket
We need a way to send a ticket to different people without bothering our customer every single time we send or receive something back and forth with a third party.
This might include sendint a request for parts to a third party that doesn't involve the customer at all or things similar to this.
Right now there is no way to do this with Atera. It forces us to address the contact as the main recipient of every e-mail involved in the ticket and there is no way to even forward the ticket to anybody else. This would go a long way to making the ticketing system more useful to us. Right now it's useless and there is no point in us getting our customers on board with Atera as well.

Allow AND and OR conditions
Allow conditions like AND and OR in conditions field in ticket automation. For example, the ability to be able to send email to technician only if the ticket is signed by someone else. If the ticket is assigned by technician himself, the email should not be sent to him.

Clean up Mac Agent installer script
The current Mac agent installer script downloads the installer into the CWD and runs the installer from there. After installing, it does not delete the Atera installer. I request the installer script be modified to download the installer into the /tmp directory on the Mac, run the installer from there (by adding the flag "-pkg /tmp/AgentInstaller.pkg" to the installer command), and add a "rm '/tmp/AgentInstaller.pkg'" to the end of the script.

Patch Dashboard View
Need to be able to see a "Patch Dashboard" where you can see the patches & clients in one view and can apply patches. Going into the "Band-Aid" on each machine really isn't a practical approach.
63 votesCongratulations on helping shape Atera! The feature you requested is currently being considered for development. Please be patient as the process can take a while or even stall to make way for other features. We’ll update you once it’s been implemented and released!

Priviledged User Install Software for macOS
If we want to install some software on macOS such as ZeroTier One for example, it fails because it needs sudo and a password to install using homebrew.
Atera should create a service account on macOS with administrator permissions that it can use to call sudo and install software from Homebrew as required.
I would expect the password is kept atera side, is unique per device and is only delivered to the device with the script that does the software install, otherwise attacker may exploit this. Probably Atera would keep an encrypted version of the password server side, that encrypted password could be delivered to the AteraAgent on the mac and the AteraAgent could decrypt the password in memory locally for use with the script calling the homebrew install, and it clears it from memory once used.

Add Products Module to the Internal IT Department Model
Currently as an "Internal IT Department" we will never bill our other individual company departments. With that said, it would be nice to track inventory of either products we have in stock and/or what we are ordering for other groups and tie dollar amounts to those. This will help IT departments in general as it gives us insight into keeping stock via trends, record other departments IT spending as-well-as keep consistent on ordering special requests.
