Disable USB ports from using USB Drives to help on the Insider Threat.
We are all concerned about the Insider Threat and Security Policy dictates that all USB ports on windows. Linux and Mac workstations be disabled except for designated workstations and those be logged and be reviewed daily.
You have scripts to do it but we need it to be more automatic and for it to be monitored and reported.8 votes -
Device filtering & listing size
Would like to see the option to be able to filter devices for (in my case) being "online" so we can remove all offline units from view. As well the list is so limiting with only 10 per page, it does not even go the length of the side information bar and likely (if it MUST remain static) could be set to 20 per page, ideally selectable 10.25.50.100 or ALL

Custom Icons on devices
Add 4 new boxes next to the status boxes for each device that can be set with or without an integration. There should be one for Webroot or Bitdefender, or any other AV that someone might use, another box should be for Backup Software like MSP360 or vendors choice, and two more boxes for whatever package the MSP offers. This would make it much easier to just look at client devices and at a glance see what software is on which device. We use Threatlocker as well, and DNSFilter.
My four boxes would be Webroot, MSP360, ThreatLocker & DNSFilter.
Currently I have to search to see what is installed where. It would be great if there were integrations to show this, but even a manual setting would let us keep track of these things.
With webroot when we install is from Atera we have no way of knowing if it installed without running reports, going into the device or checking in Webroot. These four icons would make it much easier to see what is installed where for an entire client.

Have the ability to add an alert based on registry settings
When we onboard new systems, we typically want to make sure certain items have been configured (such as the Remote Desktop port changed from the default settings of 3389). It would be nice if we could create an alert based on a value in the registry. That way we could check if the default port has been changed after a new machine has been set up or if it is still using the default port. An alert would be triggered if it didn't match the particular value and a ticket could be created.

Patch/AV caching at remote sites
In other MSP platforms I have used, we have the ability to cache patches and AV updates for a remote site on a single device which helps reduce the bandwidth requirements to deploy patches and AV updates. After talking to support, this architecture is not implemented today. This would be greatly beneficial for customers who have multiple sites but a single ISP at a central location.

Extensions for phone numbers
We used to be able to put phone extensions in a contact's phone number, but with the new update phone numbers are required to be ten digits. I propose a section next to the phone number called "extension" or "ext" where we can put the extension for each contact.

Store Windows Event Log Entries
When monitoring the Windows Event Log for events (like Failed Login Attempts), it would be really useful if Atera would retain the events that triggered the alert so we can see them later. Unfortunately, if the alert is triggered and the endpoint goes offline, there's no way to see any detail. Storing this information would really be useful to help diagnose and resolve the issues we're monitoring.

Export to CSV
It'd be extremely helpful if I could run a script or something on multiple hosts and then export the script output of all those recently ran scripts into a CSV to analyze in excel.

Open Device in New Tab from Ticket Screen
When working in a ticket there are many times where I want to switch to the device. There's a button to go to the device, but it doesn't open it in a new tab. This causes problems for navigation - especially when I need to stop and start the ticket timer. If I right-click on the device to try and manually open it in a new tab, it ends up in a load loop and never completes.

Combine and send reports automation
I would love to be able to have reports automatically combined into one and scheduled to send to the customer on a monthly basis. Right now we have to either have the reports sent to a tech and manually combine them and then send. Previously we were able to do this until migrating over to Atera. Love Atera, just would like to get that feature back.

services (with all components) in the dashboard
Today we don't only monitor servers and devices, we mainly monitor "SERVICES". Each application or service at our clients depends upon of dozens of components. It would be nice to have a place in the Dashboard where we can create those services with all its components and have the entire thing showing up as healthy/unhealthy or with alerts for performance, etc. As an example, one of my customers have a very important service for end users which depends on a custom website running on IIS and a SQL engine and some DBs running on a SQL server. I'd like to be able to create such service with all the components that are part of it, including: servers, services, databases, websites, application pools, external websites, ports, etc. Then showing it all as a summary in the dashboard.
