1. Screen View

   It would be really helpful to us to have the model of the equipment shown on the screen when you select Network Discovery. We would use this to help determine age of equipment and much quicker and list much more machines per page. Currently to get the model information we have to open the device.

   Maybe even the ability to customize the view on this screen would be even more helpful.

2. event viewer

   have the option to make filters on the admin side to allow technicians to have predetermined filters when viewing the event viewer logs through atera. along with allowing filter adjustments when looking at a specific device. would also like a scheduled report for the admin filters that would be created, if it can act like the services and detect in a similar way, to have the ability to create a ticket of some sort to help us find a solution to the concern prior to the client or at least state we are already working on the concern, it would allow us to be more proactive.

   a particular incident, user got an error for an application, stating fatal error. when trying to look at the logs it is not showing anything related to this error unless I'm on the machine. if we could tweak these views, it would make it much easier to further diagnose without having to bother the client or work after the client's business hours.

5. Working with automation profiles via API.

   Working with big amount of machines through webpage is very slowly and uncomfortable. But for now it is the only way to work with automation profiles.

   Could you add an option to work with automation profiles via API?
   To get all names of existing profiles, to get information about some particular profile, to get list of endpoints which are applied to it, to add some new or exclude some of them from particular profile and so on... It would be nice to work with it from PowerShell instead of waiting for loading page with each of these requests.

8. Combined Script Reporting

   The option when running scripts to multiple devices to have the results exported to one result summary instead of clicking each device to see results.

   Usage example: Checking bitlocker encryption method... Run script on selected devices and have all output combined into one report. (We have changed from 128 bit to 256 encryption and we have been trying to check which devices are still using the old method)

   This would allow us to open the single report and easily scroll through all results instead of going through the recent processes and checking each one manually.

   Besides the bitlocker example, I can think of many more use cases (Comparing a registry value on all machines, Running Get-Printer at a site to see which devices are missing printers, etc.)

10. Defer Windows updates

    We find that windows updates rolls out certain updates too fast which can cause severe downtime for customers when Microsoft pushes out a faulty update.

    For that reason, we prefer to defer updates for 14 days.

    Using group policy, you can set this up or use registry as follows:

    I'd like to see the ability to specify an age for an update to reach before Atera installs it. 11. Random Delay to Run Script

    The ability to assign a random wait time if you're running a script on many machines.

    For example, if I'm using a script to download and install some software, I don't want to have 400 machines all request for a download from a webserver and tax the traffic or get restricted.

    I know there are delay options for offline devices so it can wait, but it would be ideal to be able to set a random delay, and pick the limit. So, I could apply a script to run on 400 devices, and I can set it to pick a random number between 1 and 999 or something, and wait that time before starting the script.

    I've attempted to program delays into scripts, and while they work, the same wait is applied to all machines that have the script, so all machines end up waiting the same amount of time, which is the same behaviour as if there was no wait at all.

    This will be very helpful to limit network traffic, putting strain on resources etc, if we need to push out large transfers or downloads, and helps to spread them out, rather than spike them all at once.

    The ability to assign a random wait time if you're running a script on many machines.

12. Stream Monitoring

    I have several large clients that stream real time video to events like Black Hat 2023 in Las Vegas. If you are unfamiliar with the event it has a virtual booth day on the last half of the ticket.

    I have clients in remote location that will stream thier presentation directly to the company booth. They use software encoders to push the video to the booth server.

    They run in to problems like Task Manager popping up while broadcasting. This wrecks the stream and they look embarrasing to thier clients. This has happened hundreds of times.

    I manage thier packet delivery, VPN and stream timing. However I can not monitor thier other activities, triggers and events.

    Atera will give me that feature. I know how to write scripts that can be triggered through the Atera platform. It would be great to have a simple button or menu item that would give me the customer real time packet delivery, network health and internet connection strength.

    On that display a few control buttons that would immediately kill tasks, background programs, Skype, eMail and other tasks you do not want to pop up when you are streaming live.

    I think this would be a value ad feature.

13. Display agent ID on device page.

    It would be nice to have the agent ID of computers displayed on the device page. We use the API a lot at our office and having this number easily accessible would make running PowerShell scripts on certain machines easier.

14. Obtain SP 800-171 Compliance

    Virtually all companies that deal with the US government are required to obtain SP 800-171 compliance and must ensure that any Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) stored on 3rd party platforms are also SP 800-171 compliant. Gaining this would allow a lot of companies that deal with government/military to use your RMM tools.

15. Find site or agents without an Automation Profile

    A way to find agents that do not have an Automation profile assigned. I missed assigning a automation profile to a site during a setup. I found out a month later when these machines did not restart at the expect maintenance window. I am now wondering if there are others I have missed. I don't fancy checking every single site or agent!

16. Use another agent as proxy or gateway for devices without internet access

    Allow monitoring devices that have no internet gateway but which are in the same network than other atera agents with full internet access allowed. We have windows machines competely without default gateway entry. I think they will not be able to launch functions which need internet access but maybe we are able to monitor them by redirecting the monitoring information over an existing agent.

17. Script Relevance and Applicable Device Count

    It would be nice if we could create relevance for scripts, similar to how Intune has detection scripts that determine if a device needs to run a specific script (other tools have this ability as well).
    This avoids us having to run a script on all devices and review the output to determine if a change was needed/made.

    If the script had functionality for relevance/detection, we could quickly look at the script and see how many applicable machines need it and push it to those devices accordingly (no detection added would be applicable to all).
    This is helpful in many ways, including when trying to prove that a certain mitigation is in place (via registry, a file existing, file version, or anything else we need to check/remediate). Giving the detection script as evidence and showing no applicable devices would also help during audits and security reviews.

    I know detection can be written in the script itself... Again though, it's not feasible to review the output for all devices to see what few systems may have needed it ran to begin with and try to report on that.

    This report will allow us to check all machines before and after the patch automation process. It will help identify machines where patching was missed, enabling us to address any issues and ensure all systems are up to date. Additionally, if possible, we would like the option to set up donut charts for subfolders within customer folders to provide a visual representation of the data.

19. Showing 2 devices with same hostname name offline and online - After reinstallation

    My 500 machines got offline now I have noticed the while doing the reinstallation it's showing online and offline 2 devices with the same hostname.

    1. There is no way to clear the offline machines at a single time, Need to do it manually,

    2. There is no hostname conflict feature in Matera

    3. There is no way to delete the offline machines at one time

    4. There is no option to push the Atera MSI file via the deployment tool. it can
       only be done by AD

    5. There is no information on Atera uninstallation if you can run the
       uninstallation.

    6. There is no option to take user permission while taking remote by splash top,
       should take user consent

20. Agentname / FQDN

    Unfortunately, after installing the agent, only the computer name is displayed.
    It would be much better and more useful to display the FQDN. Directly in the overview.
    This would make it much easier to assign machines and search much faster if you know the AD. As well as simply adding new machines under a "dummy customer" (transfer) and then assigning them to the real customer.

    It is important that the FQDN is shown DIRECTLY in the overview.
