I want a custom field under customers as a Text Areas not a text field so you can display multiple lines of text
I want my engineers to stay in Atera and use this solely, so having data on the customers within the customers overview page is the perfect place, I was looking to add a few field one being "Backup Procedures" where we can specify how the customer is backing up, so if a customer calls up to get something restored any of my engineers the see how the customer is backing up, without needing to ask other engineers or spend 20 minutes logging into servers to find out.
A Text Area would also be good for listing software that customers use

Improve Logging for Software Updates
Currently if a software update via Chocolatey or Winget fails, we get a very generic "action failed" message. It would be helpful to know what failed and to pull logs about the failure into the Atera console so that we don't need to remotely connect to the machine and drill down into local log files to identify the cause.

IT Automation Calendar View / More IT Automations information information (consolidated)
A calendar view for all of the automation profiles that shows the day and time of the week they are scheduled for. This would make for way more efficient planning of the automations, especially since it's already recommended to make a restart task a separate automation from other actions. This has caused us to have to create many duplicate profiles and has created an intensely muddy view of the automation profiles.

Advanced IP Address Info (consolidated)
It would be useful to have a 'more' button next to the current external/internal IP address info for a device. This could show more advanced info, Subnet, Gateway, DHCP server, DNS etc.

custom field/form: checkbox with dependencies
When creating Custom Forms, would be nice to have the dependencies option for "checkbox" whe creating a custom field for a custom form.
Example:
1. Is this change request part of an existing project?
Check box option is Yes or No.
Dependencies would now be an option if choosing "Yes"

Have Task Manager be more of a representation of what you would see on the Desktop computer. It would be nice to have the different tabs, easier searching for the task we need to end, and graphs of hardware usage.

scheduled ticket option - make available to main contact
Give the main contact availability to create a scheduled ticket, they can create tickets now but not schedule them - ideal for departing employees, new hires and other that happen on a future date

Configurable Report Export File Names
Accidentally, by exporting a report more than 100 times, I found that the filename gets a timestamp added. So, after creating 'Auditor (100).xlsx' in the downloads folder, subsequent exports have a timestamp like this:
'Auditor - 2025-01-30T153425.123.xlsx'
We find this very useful, and we though it was a feature of Atera.We would like to see the ability to define the report filename that would include:
- Report Name (e.g. 'Auditor')
- Customer Name or Abbreviation (e.g. AcmeLtd)
- Timestamp and format (e.g. 'yyyy-mm-dd HH:mm')4 votes -
Project Management
I would like to suggest that Atera implement a project management tab to be able to track hours and add deliverables from asset management. This would make it so we only need to use one platform for all our PSA needs.

Custom Statistics Counter
This is an improvement idea next to custom fields.
Custom fields only allow to set a field with a current value but does not keep history data.
This is useful if you want to have a single value which does not change but it won't help if you want to monitor your system in detail.It would be nice to have a custom field which stores historic data and displays this as a graph like the CPU/ memory consumption.
This would allow to run detailed monitoring on server and workstation.The custom statistics counter should only allow numeric values, but including comma-separated (in US dot-separated) values.
Important:
Custom fields are for ALL devices. This makes no sense for custom statistics counter!
It must be possible to define these per device, per group or for all!The way how the custom statistics counter works is the same as for the custom field.
It just runs a powershell script and returns the value. This is written into the counter.
It would be nice to run the script in very short intervals (e.g. 1x / min). Atera currently only allows an interval of 3min due to the synchronization interval, but maybe the script can run 1x/min and just synchronize each 3 minutes.Examples when to use:
- monitor the memory consumption of a specific process. This is more useful than monitoring the memory of a whole device.
- monitor amount/ size of files in a specific folder to if this is growing over time
- monitor if a specific configuration is in place (just return 1 = yes and 0 = no)
- monitor the amount of currently logged on user on a server. This allows to see the peak time and max user count
- run regular speedtests for the internet to see if there is an issue during the day (would require comma/ dot values)
- run interactions with different software products to get their logging into Atera (e.g. amount of error/ action X) for troubleshooting purposeMaybe there is an option to even define a threshold (upper/ lower / equal threshold) which then allows further options:
- trigger a warning / error
- perform an automatic action from atera (run script/ create ticket)This is an improvement idea next to custom fields.

Device column listings
Please allow us to remove AI from the column listing. I don't have the feature, don't want the feature and sick of seeing it on every expletive deleted application I use. I need to do work, not hide AI functionality all damn day.

Please Provide Integration with BackupAssist. Their Management Interface and software work well and is far less cumbersome and complicated as Acronis.

Agent translation in Italian
It would be nice to have Atera Agent text in other languages (in my case Italian). Curently it's unusable for most of my customers (they don't know english).

Filter out logged windows event alerts using REG-EX
Filter out event alerts based on matching event contents using regex or string pattern search.
I.E. User A is an automated user.
It logs on every 10 mins to computer A.
I want to exclude User A Logins from the sign in or sign out event 4624 or 4625
but I want to log every other user logon
Another example.
Filter out computer logon to domain by filtering out "\S+(.\$)"

Copilot in app mobile
Integrate copilot in all aspects of the mobile app so that it has the same functionalities as the web browser.
Ticket summaries, knowledge base articles, troubleshooting, etc. possibly default a ai copilot ticket summary to save space on mobile screens instead of showing needing to scroll through the entire conversation to see what’s going on.

Ability to add parameters for running scripts and respond to User Inputs
It would be great if we could, when running a script like Powershell, input specific parameters that are requested within the script. Or, if the script calls a User Input like a Read-Host, Atera could pick that up and prompt a response on the website.

Different default template for tickets created by technicians
It would be nice to have different default form templates for tickets created in the user portal vs. created in Atera by a technician without the tech having to remember to change the template. This would give the ability to add more technical fields automatically when the ticket is created by a tech. It would also allow more customization of ticket automation rules based on whether the ticket was created by a user or by a technician.
