Has this been really open for 3 years? Is there an ETA??

Cactus IT Manager commented
Please can we have a realistic ETA on this feature? There is an increasing requirement in the UK with Cyber Essentials and pushing out updates is critical.
Thanks

This would be a welcome addition to our Atera dashboard.
I second those solutions mentioned in below comments.
Both Android and iOS devices are required.
Free or affordable management of mobile devices, the licensing costs of Intune ongoing
Locking down devices for installs.
Ability to flash the device with a company image.
Remote assistance
Installation and removal of applications
Software configuration
Find device functionality.
Monitoring
Restore to factory defaults
Onboarding of new devices
Yes please and Thank you. -

Free and unlimited mobile devices with Atera.
Our stats: iOS (60%) vs Android (40%)
Intune (free version doesn't help), and O365 Exchange only offers remote wipe, which we cannot do because these are BOYD's.
We would like to be able to connect to their mobile devices (similar to how we do for PC's and Servers), to be able to screen share and assist end users with setup and various other issues.
Also to be able to install and uninstall company apps during onboarding and offboarding (without doing a remote wipe).
To authorize or block access to company data altogether.
Remote manage apps (block or allow)
To ensure they are current on the most recent OS security releases.
Location and Remote lock.

I know most people will be about device security and that side, but honestly just the ability to remote into the device and give assistance or the like would do wonders. There are too many other services that tie in that make it easy for device control on the app level, Users constantly need to be taught and assisted installing and managing their apps. Depending on the age group as well, getting those apps working and logging in.

This would be awesome if available.
The ability to install and delete apps, view location would be important.
Particularly iOS for us, I don't think we use Android at all or very minimal but Android support would still be good.Remote wipe, some kind of remote would be awesome via screen recording as we often have people with MFA issues and that would help solve them.

• IOS or Android? Both, they are 50/50 in our customer base.
• What current MDM using and why/why not use it? Primarily Intune, with a few using n-central. Intune is expensive, n-central lacks important features.
• What most important features Atera develop? App control (block/install/remove/update), remote wipe, kiosk mode.

Both Android and iOS, tablet and mobile phone. Remote access, remote wipe, remote lock, push apps, and location.

Probably the most important thing for us would be remote access, so we can help clients set up email accounts or deal with other issues. We see Android and iPhone in pretty even numbers, so support for both would be ideal. Monitoring would be nice, too, but not critical for us.

I am currently managing an MDM solution with JumpCloud. My needs are around IOS devices only. Automation out of the box is key. Being able to onboard all devices once purchased is a huge time saver. Using Groups to deploy applications and configuration is a very nice to have feature within an MDM. Here's a few features that would be necessary for me to switch MDM solutions.
APN Configuration
VPP Program
Enroll BYOD Devices using a QR Code
User or Device Policy Management out of the box
Zero Touch Onboarding with Automated Enrollment
Remote Viewing capabilities would be a fantastic feature.Another great MDM product I really like is Manage Engine's MDM. They have a great user interface for quickly configuring applications like Outlook and other customized Apps. With everything going to the Internet anymore not sure that feature is needed as much with an MDM.

I would be absolutely THRILLED if this functionality were ever added to Atera.
I would like to have it available for both IOS and Android. However, if I had to choose one I would select Android. IOS is not great to work with from an IT standpoint. It often requires additional hardware like a server to manage any mobile devices through MDM tools. Android is much more user and IT friendly in this case.
Currently, we are using ManageEngine through Zoho. It is a great tool but I would prefer everything under the same roof. We have looked into utilizing Microsoft Intune but the licensing is ridiculous and super complex.
The most important features for me are ease of use, kiosk mode, remote app management, remote device management, location tracking, remote lock and wipe, and updates.
This is a big thumbs up idea. I really hope this gets done.
