Improved Billing
This is totally open ended. What can we add/improve within invoicing, contracts, billing etc to make your life easier?

More customisation of contracts, for example :
A contract that integrates different services and not one contract per service as it is now. -
Not sure why we can't integrate directly with Quickbooks Desktop instead of having to export and import. This should be included as many MSPs use QB Desktop. ConnectWise and many others directly insert invoices into QB Desktop.

Being able to send invoices automatically every month by e-mail

Project quotes / estimates that can be converted to invoices. Also credit memos, to show discounts and refunds.

Would appreciate the ability to select which items to export when running timesheets. For example, time and date are mixed together making life difficult to easily import these time sheets into QuickBooks. Information that is not alike should not be grouped together. Every record should be in it's own field so if the information is not needed, does not have to be imported can be deleted without losing other information. Again, example is having start and end times listed in the Resolution Date of a timesheet report.

The ability to change the number on the invoice. We're using a different software and we can't use Atera because we can't change the number displayed so it follows the current invoices number

The billing period should be pushed to the CSV export. Manually copy pasting this data is making us think twice about using Atera

We need the full customer address displayed on invoices, including City/State/Zip. Not just the Address line as currently configured.

I currently invoice twice a month. on the 1st and the 15th. I want to be able to sort the contracts accordingly.

Ability to customise the look of the invoice more, add more fields that we can use to display things, be able to change the headings, change "Invoice" to "Tax Invoice" so we can actually use the invoices from Atera to charge customers.

Billing and ticketing needs an overhaul , its clunky and confusing

Reconciliation between billing and tickets, the ability to see if a ticket has been invoiced, and which invoice it was in. Right now there's really no link between the two, if we need to reconcile or find out which invoice a particular ticket was included in. This also means we cannot easily confirm if a ticket was actually invoiced.

There isn't a good way at the moment to bill per contact. We should really be able to bill per contact automatically.

I wish we could edit the invoice number

Need to be able to customise fields in the invoice. At very least need a description field!
Unable to use this at the moment because of this. -

When exporting to xero there is no due date, so every invoice has to be manually edited to add a due date.
To much time is devoted to this task.
we are actually now quicker to export to csv and then reimport.Maybe we could just add a 'terms' option to customers that can be used with whichever system is used for accounts.

When creating a new invoice, I wish there was a "drop down" arrow button for Category and Product/Rate Name, which when pressed would show all the prducts that i've created in the system So I didn't have to guess what the product name was for a client in order to get to start to appear for that column.

Invoicing - The categories column should filter the products/rates column. If I select Labor in the category column, only the pre-defined labor rates should populate as options in the rates column.

On an invoice, include products with each ticket rather than putting products at the end, or at least repeat the ticket number with each product so it can be associated properly. Currently, three appears no way to tell which products go with which tickets on an invoice containing more than one ticket. Support suggest we run a separate report to cross reference, or manually enter the ticket number with each product description, which both seem redundant considering the all the needed info is there and just needs either to show, or preferably be sorted under each ticket like time entries.
