  2. It would be good if we can at the device dashboard, select one or multiple devices and execute (RUN Now) a non-applied & unscheduled patch profile

    In other words, to assign a patch profile from the list of non-applied & unscheduled patch profile to run immediately and after that remove that patch from the device.

  3. Allow multiple scripts in one Automation Profile that are run individually and in order. Current behvior will run all scripts concurrently.

  4. Be able to create an email template which then could be assigned to an Automation profile so it could be sent out to the specific company/department notifying about their patching/maintenance downtime and also possibly be able to send once patching and maintenance is complete.

  5. "Run the profile on newly installed agents" need a automation profile for the customer and it would affect all new agents. Why not "Run the profile on new assigned agents" when the agent will get the profile assigned manually, by folder or by customer. So we have a much better flexibility.

  8. Right now if we want to automate software installation or patching, we usually write a script to silently install software and have it run on relevant devices.

    The issue is that the Atera Software Inventory only updates every 24 hours. It is therefore not possible to ensure that the installation script ran correctly. If the computer then shuts down and is offline for weeks, there is no way for us to ensure that the software installation was actually successful. We need an offline software inventory that can be manually updated. In the worst case the solution should at least be…

  9. I have noticed other RMM's have features where say you can monitor things like print spooler and then set a automation on this, if it stops then auto restart the spooler and if it continues to cause issues then perhaps empty the print queue, restart again and if it doesn't work properly then alert you to a problem. Prior to this it just needs to be a notification that has been resolved so you can report to this the customer.

  11. Support told me that new updates on servers will be searched at the start of the IT automation profile which leads to
    - higher bandwidth usage
    - more time for applying patches
    - reboot time which may is outside of customer's window

    What we need:
    Scan window: set time window for scanning (e.g. on day of patching in the morning/afternoon)
    Patch window: set time window for the execution of the patches
    Reboot window: window for rebooting (last reboot no later than X:YY)

  12. I need to rotate the patching so not all devices are updated at the same time within on organisation. I wish to spread this out over the course of a month. I need the ability to see which devices are on which patching schedule? Can you help?

  14. It's currently troublesome to install an app via IT Automation on a Mac, as Brew needs Admin rights for certain apps and the first time usage of Brew throws folder privilege issues on Big Sur 11.5.2.

    So please:
    Fix the permission issues for the required folders
    Add the ability to use admin rights to install apps.

  15. Automated rules based on things like below

    • device type - Server / Laptop / Desktop
    • OS Type
    • OS Version
    • etc.

    This would then allow us to setup automation rules for newly installed agents or publish IT Automation based on criteria like so

    If "computer os" is "windows 10" then install these applications

    this automates the ability to install AV / Applications / etc. when a new agent comes online for a customer

    this in turn allows for an agent to be installed onto a computer which will then automate chocolaty to install

    we would also need options to install webroot…

  16. When patches are applied via Atera, they do not show up on the server itself.

    It would be great to see them there as well and sometimes it irritates some customer

  18. e.g. a device has an additional service I want to monitor and to not create a new threshold profile, it would be easier and faster to override the current threshold profile with an additional service.
    In our environment there are lots of different servers with different services to monitor and it takes a very long time to set up all threshold profiles for all different kinds of servers.

  19. Provide Additional Failure Info. At the moment we can not see much information, more log info is needed for the user running the job so we can troubleshoot it internally, it’s probably the command we are running, this will be extremely useful
