patch approval report and scans
It would be great to have the patch approval section of the Automation Profiles to automatically populate instead of waiting for the automation profile to run.
I want to be able to see which patches are availble via the automation profile on a weekly basis but without having the risk of them installing when running the automation profile daily.
Currently, the new patch management screen automatically populates with new patches, and maybe this logic can be included in the automation profile patch approvals?
A report for pending patches per client could also be useful for clients that require an approval…

Auto remediation on HTTP alerts
It would be good if when we add a HTTP device, and the 'alert' pattern is triggered, if we could set it to run a script on a device.
Eg the HTTP site in question is run on a server monitored by Atera. If the pattern is triggered, then restart a service on the server.
Other platforms can do this :)1 vote -

Separate Chocolatey and Homebrew options in Patch Management
Since Chocolatey doesn't support ARM binaries and sometimes breaks things by updating Edge Webview2 with x64 causing chaos where users are unable to open some apps (Teams) and download PDF's etc, we have disabled Chocolatey in Atera altogether.
But by disabling Chocolatey we also disable Homebrew for Mac since it's one button for both.
Can you please separate these options so that we can keep Homebrew enabled?

Omit Specific Devices From Patch Dashboard
For servers or computers that are used for specific purpose such as VEEAM or other reason like keeping a computer on older Windows versions for specific reasons, these computers are omitted from patch profiles and are not patched. These computers need to have an option to filter out of the patching dashboard and reports as they affect the reporting inaccurately due to this business practice.

Automated Full Disk Access for macOS via MDM (PPPC) Policy Deployment
It would be a huge time-saver if Atera could include the ability to deploy PPPC (Privacy Preferences Policy Control) profiles through its MDM tools to automatically grant Full Disk Access for the Atera agent on macOS devices.
Right now, we have to manually configure this on each Mac, which is both time-consuming and prone to being missed during setup. If Atera could handle this as part of the MDM deployment process, it would greatly simplify onboarding, improve monitoring reliability, and ensure better compliance across all endpoints.
This would be especially helpful for IT teams managing remote or large fleets of…

Version-lock
In development environments, it's critical to be able to set a specific version to applications, which cannot be upgraded further.
It's mostly used for browsers and infrastructure (For example, smbclient for domain-binding changed its tags and broke processes).
Setting up version lock for all packages (not just excluded windows updates) will allow for stable systems.2 votes -
Pre and Post deployment functionality
Please consider adding the following functionality to the automated profile structure.
It would be really useful to be able to configure specific script sequence (pre or post) deployment as a second step before or after running a patch.
Currently the scripts deploy in a random fashion rather than in a structured manor as per your support team currently.
An example of this would be to run a force restart of Google Chrome after applying the latest Google update.1 vote -
Chain Patch Mangement Items
I would like to chain Patch Management items to one-another.
Meaning I would like to create (for example) A "Linux-upgrade" item which will be followed by "Linux cleanup" item, that only takes place after the previous item was finished.1 vote -
Allow Python Scripts
It would be a great help if we could create and send Python scripts, instead of only cmd, ps1 and bash.
A use case would be working with SentinalOne's API (Or any API for that matter) in order to transfer ownership between accounts.
At times, we require the endpoint itself to communicate with the API, and this is done mainly with Python1 vote -
Preview updates exclusion
Preview updates exclusion
Currently, there doesn’t seem to be an option to exclude “preview updates” in Atera Patch Management. The only way to do this now is to manually add an exclusion for the unwanted updates in the Automation profiles every month.
We need a setting for the automatic exclusion of “preview updates”.

Patch Management (New) - save a view or filters
It would be nice to save views that we have filtered in the new Patch Management section of the Atera Portal. It is causing a lot frustration Atera resets the filters I am using. especially hard when I have do my monthly IT Reports.1 vote -

Patch management
It would be nice to have a filter for the Patching Status widget. It seems like the patch status looks for all patches (OS, hardware ,etc) which skew the result. My team would just like to see how many devices that are fully patched but only OS patches.
Updated for clarity.

A precise control over the device reboot from Configuration policy
A precise control over the device reboot from Configuration policy
What we need:
We need to be able to specify a deadline for automatic PC restart and application of updates. Similar to the setting in Group Policy, the deadline time frame can be between 2 and 14 days. After the deadline has passed, devices restart regardless of active hours. Currently, it is between 15 to 180 minutes. What we have in Atera through configuration policy:
• Disable auto-restart with logged-on users
• Restart outside of active hours
• Restart after selected time period

Better role selection in profile assignment
Currently when assigning a patch management automation profile - you can't select required folders across all customers, it has to be done manually per customer which can become quite tedious.
Would be good to filter by folder name i.e. all 'workstations' or all 'servers' across all customers.

File storage to upload "loose" files
File storage to upload "loose" files which can be downloaded to the endpoints and run together with scripts.
Example: I need to push out a script to all devices which reads data from a config file.
How do I get the config file to all computers and THEN have the script consume it?
If there was a file repository, we could upload the config file, and then setup an automation which will include the file(s) and the script required and push the whole thing as a "configuration".
