Time Window for reboots in Patch Management profile
We have had several servers where the overnight patching was slow resulting in the server rebooting during work hours.
Can a 'time window' be added so that reboots after patching are NOT performed outside of that time window?

Sequential Execution and Post-Reboot Resumption in IT Automation Profiles
Dear Atera Team,
I hope this message finds you well.
As we strive to automate repetitive IT tasks, I’ve been leveraging Atera’s IT Automation Profiles to streamline end-user device provisioning. While this feature has significantly improved our workflow, I’ve encountered a limitation that affects its full potential.
Scenario:
Our provisioning process includes steps like:- Reinstalling or formatting used devices (or setting up new ones).
- Renaming devices based on Asset Tags.
- Installing the Atera agent, which initiates IT Automation Profiles to perform tasks such as: Installing software bundles. Running scripts (e.g., adding devices to Active Directory).
Challenge:

Patch management
I would love a button - connect - in the devices under patch management.
Often I would like to know if the PC/Device is free to reboot and a quickview, without loosing the client by clicking would be great.1 vote -
With scripts to be able to have "helper files" to be able to upload with the msi files
Under Scripts you have the option to be able to upload an MSI file but no helper files. we have software that required a .txt licensing filing and would be helpful to be able to add that feature as well as automatically with all scripts to run /quiet /qn /norestart with all MSIs

Patch Management must follow policies set for the reporting and status to be useful
It is great that there is a column in devices that will show all patches available.
But that is less important than having a column and patch mangement tool that reports relevant patches that are required to meet my organizations patch standards. This information has been provided to the system by my Automation and Patching Polices. Yet the Patch Management panel and the Patches Available column indevices do not reflect this. This makes the the patches available column not useful at all unless you just want to see what is available for that given end point according to the MS…

View drop-down selection box for customers in Patch Management
In the patch management screen, could someone look into establishing a view drop-down feature so I don't have to back to patch management main screen and then reselect the customers I was looking at? That way I can create multiple views for the customers as needed.

I think it would be usefull to have the Patching Status exclude agents that do not have a an Automation Profile attached.
I think it would be usefull to have the Patching Status exclude agents that do not have a an Automation Profile attached. I have lots of agents where the end user does not want to pay for device management so I don't apply any automation to the agents.

Software Patches on Patch Management
We now have the Patch Management Page on Atera, which is useful but it would be great if there were a tab within that for Software Patches, as we can already see something similar looking per device.

Delete tasks scheduled for offline devices
The ability to remove scheduled tasks for devices that were offline when the task was run. e.g. If you push out an update that caused a problem, it would be nice to be able to remove the scheduled update (that will run when the device comes online) if you know it will cause an issue.

biweekly automations
When creating an automation profile there is no clean way of creating an automation that runs every other week.
For example I wish to run a secondary backup every other Friday. Currently you have to choose Friday for weekly and disable it every other week.1 vote -
Threshold Hysteresis
When disk space goes over my 80% threshold I get a warning, that's great. But 79.999% doesn't constitute "Resolved", I'd like to set the hysterises level (say to 5%, it's defacto 0% right now) so the warning comes in at 82% and is considered resolved at 78%. By adding this degree of hysteresis, the flood of Alert Problem / Alert Resolved messages is reduced.

Patch Management, IT Automation, and Script retry option, when executed allow the agent to retry a specified number of times before failing
Patch Management, IT Automation, and Script retry option, when executed allow the agent to retry a specified number of times before failing. This would prevent a lot of automation failures, and fix 90% of the issues I have with Atera.

report for automation profiles assigned per folders
This report will allow us to check all machines before and after the patch automation process. It will help identify machines where patching was missed, enabling us to address any issues and ensure all systems are up to date. Additionally, if possible, we would like the option to set up donut charts for subfolders within customer folders to provide a visual representation of the data.

threshold wildcards
Make it so you can use wildcards when monitoring service names. Different versions of Windows use different names for services. For example:
Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service
Windows Defender Antivirus ServiceIf we could enter wildcards we would be able to look for:
*Defender Antivirus Service
As long as something matched you wouldn't get an alert. Same issue with the firewall. There are different names between different versions. The next step would be to add logical operators. So I could look for Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service OR Windows Defender Antivirus Service

using the Description filed to setup automation ru
it would be awesome if we can use the description field in the ticket to setup an automation rule, for example > if the description filed contain a word > assign to technician

API: Include Ticket # in response when I create a ticket
As it stands, if we want to use the API to create a ticket and then interact with it, we need to create the ticket and then constantly poll the API to find the ticket.
Since any API request has to involve a response from Atera servers regardless, could the Ticket# of the created ticket be included in the response?
This could be expanded to other API calls, i.e., when you create a customer, alert, contact, device, etc.1 vote -
Patch management
To be able to schedule Patch management tasks, this would be useful for Mac devices that require Upgrade patches to be run via Patch management instead of IT Automation profiles.
This workaround is useful for Mac devices that are offline, in order to help automate pushing Upgrade patches

Vendor-Specific patch management
I know the Atera patch management function uses the WUA API to perform tasks, but additional functionality based on a device's vendor would be very helpful. I've noticed that patch management can often miss BIOS and firmware updates rolled out by vendors like Dell or HP, if Windows Update doesn't catch them.
