Patch management Policy - add prompt user to reboot
Currently the only option when installing patches via a patch management policy is 'Reboot if needed', from what I have been told by Atera support this will automatically reboot the computer even if a user is logged in and actively working
Can you add an option called ' Reboot if needed - Prompt user' which means they choose when to reboot and not just automatically reboot their device
Thanks to you, Atera is better today than it was yesterday! The feature you requested has been implemented and released!
Please see the Windows Updates restarts options here: https://support.atera.com/hc/en-us/articles/5499183257884-Configuration-policies#Availableconfigurations

The number of times I've had to apologize for the no-warning reboot is one time too many. I have too many users on the no-reboots profile because of this. I don't like being the one responsible for the hours of lost work.

Continually prompt the end user to reboot or the ability to change the frequency on how often the end user gets a prompt to reboot.
Totally agree with all comments prior to mine also :-)

+1 with Ciro Pirone comment. The 60 seconds or so that a users gets now before reboot happens is brutally short. It is important to give the user a chance to finish up/close out BUT also NOT let them postpone the reboot indefinitely. From my perspective, give them up to 4 hours of grace time but then force the reboot with a final two minute warning.

Would love to see a prompt come up 2-3 times after which the user cannot dismiss the message on the screen and is forced to complete the reboot.

This will be really helpful

Even more important: restarts should be possible to postpone by the admin. There should never be any automatic restarts which have not been planned by the admin

Also when running down the device list and doing manual reboots it would be really helpful having the Reboot Status known, if you manually already sent the reboot request (Clicked Restart) maybe the Reboot Needed can change to Restart Sent or something like that. Knowing if I already clicked restart on a specific machine is big!! Please Please Please!!! Thanks!!

Not sure if already available.
1.) From the devices panel. The ability to list in ascending order the devices that need the most patches/updates. Example , like in Excel click on the top of a column list items in ascending. OR the ability to pause the device screen from refreshing, so you can work your way thought the devices to install needed updates.
2.) Devices panel - indicate if devices need to be restarted to finish patch installs.
3.) Device panel. The ability to add/remove columns and sort columns in ascending/descending order. -

When doing patch management, there is an option that says 'reboot if needed.' However when this option is selected, people don't have a choice whether their computer restarts, it does it automatically. It would be good if people could decide when the update was done rather than doing it as soon as they go online.

As we are using patch management, We need to send a notification to end users before restart, So they can save all the work that they are doing or patch & reset immediately
