Exclude retired devices from remote monitoring contract type
Contracts of the type "Remote Monitoring" currently includes all agents - also retired once. This means that a client will keep paying for unused clients.
I was told by support to manually check our hundreds of customers for "online since" devices and correct the billing every month.
There must be a way to exclude retired devices in the contract3 votes -
Traffic monitor
Problem:
Currently it is possible to use a graph to display the CPU usage and memory usage.
I would like to also monitor the network traffic on the server to better understand how much data is going in and out. This can help to investigate on potential issues especially on server.Improvement:
Make it possible to monitor the traffic on a specific agent and display it in an extra graph showing inbound/ outbound traffic per timeframe and in total (E.g. 150GB within the last 24 hours).Benefit:
This will help to identify peak times on that server from network perspective…26 votes -
Deploy local user
When using Kaseya, I was able to deploy a local user (with local admin settings or regular) to workstations as long as the agent was active. This could be extremely useful when a new machine is setup, etc. or if we need to gain access to the machine but don't have a local/domain login.

Remote in to users terminal sessions
I'm using a trial now and the deal breacker is that I can't remote on users session on a terminal server. All customers run terminal servers and when they request support I have to be able to remote directly on their session including when they are not in front of the screen. I'm lookig to switch from another RMM platform that offer this feature and because you don't have it I will wait a littl longer. Hope to see it soon. There is lot's of customers using Remote desktop services and we need to be able to help them individually…

automated tasks
It is possible to obtain information from the list of devices if one or more automated tasks encounter errors or were unable to execute during their scheduling due to the agent being offline. Additionally, it is feasible to check the status of all automated tasks by accessing the agent, which includes their successful executions with the most recent execution date, as well as any failures, etc. This feature has already been offered by N-able for some time. I believe this is crucial to enhance productivity, rather than just relying on generating reports.

Linux text editor support in Terminal window
None of the Linux text editors (Nano, Vi, Vim, etc.) work in the Atera portal's Terminal window for Linux clients. It's not possible to support Linux computers without being able to edit scripts and config files, and the Atera agent for Linux provides no other way to do this.

Atera Health
Implement a second service for updating and/or monitoring the health of "AteraAgent" service itself when the agent stopped or have a issue.
Like Streamer Service of Splashtop that maintains the health of the main remote access service
I know, I can use a simple script or task scheduler, but it's just an idea...7 votes -

Call to notify you that a server is down
In Continuum: we get a call that the site is down. Somebody from them is calling to let us know. ‘we’ve detected that server on site B is down.’

Allow Linux computers the ability to be a monitoring agent for SNMP, Network Discovery, etc. devices?
We would like to put our own linux system at a users site to monitor SNMP instead of relying one of the clients systems.

Dynamically move agents to customers folders
Dynamically assign an agent to a customer folder based on the device host name
e.g PC name = Customer-Admin-01 is moved to the Admin folder for that customer2 votes -
Allow agent to be installed silently via Intune
Pretty straightforward. Allow the Atera agent to be installed silently via Intune, like it could previously. The agent can be installed silently via GPO on a domain, and Intune / Azure AD is just the next iteration of that.

Security and Compliance Scan
Could be great that the Atera agent scans the devices looking for known vulnerabilities, just as we do with some products, to then report all the items found and having a knowledge base with all the recommended fixes.
For example, Atera would scan the registry for settings that are not in compliance with a template provided like "Windows Clients - enhanced security", and then will report for each found setting and will have a link for the knowledge base with more information on what should be configured. Templates could be provided by the Atera community, the Atera product engineers, and…

Agent deployment from scanning agent (non domain controller)
Allow for remote deployment of agent from network discovery via a non domain controller server or PC. Currently the agent can only be deployed remotely from a site scanned from a scanning agent that is a DC. This would be useful in cases where sites connect back across a VPN with no DC on site or are connected to a cloud service for Active Directory.

fix the monitoring history graph. Seriously
When I create an agent while it is still offline the history graph will show 'Up' even though the status of the device is offline. Support calls this the designed behaviour which I find really weird. An offline device should show offline until it has been online.

Under the device information on an endpoint. It would be good to have an option to run a speed test of that device on the local lan.

Add a menu to the agent where the users can perform basic troubleshooting tasks "CLI PS1 commands" curated by us so they can do a DNS flush without intervention of a technician.
