Password protect the Atera agent from end-user uninstalls
Password protect Atera Agent from being uninstalled. I have had several users uninstall the agent from their systems. Most do not recognize the software and remove it. Others are just nosy. And others see the new software added and remove it because they don't like control, "Big Brother" .
I would like the option to place a check mark to turn on Password protection.
Congratulations on helping shape Atera! The feature you requested is currently being considered for development. Please be patient as the process can take a while or even stall to make way for other features. We’ll update you once it’s been implemented and released!

As many others, your users shouldn't have admin rights or access to an Admin account at all. If you don't sort this one out you will have more problems than just removing Atera agent.

Locking the agent should be a given as many people will disable the agent when not recognized, it should not be so simple to disable or exit. Password protect the agent. This would be beneficial to MSP's and in house IT departments.
Thanks

And possibility to change the name of the service "Atera Agent" to another name without "atera" (for the confidentiality compared customers)

I hear you Todd, but perhaps in this situation it would be better for your users not to have administrative access to their PCs. That would help prevent some of the uninstallation. I assume.

I am being a know it all jerk I am sure, but was passing by making sure a request I am about to make is not already in the system. If users can do this they have local admin rights/know the admin password. PLEASE remove this ability from their computer ASAP. Ransomware rampant as of late, lots of liability issues on your end if ransomware hits and the reason why is because, "Becky in accounting needed it to install spotify updates and installed coupon.exe when she was looking at shoes on aliexpress".

After reading this i think the above should be essential, adding a lockdown option where the password is saved in Atera web portal, and maybe the agent lockdown can be removed from the web portal.

Another option would be to allow us to set a 4-digit code that has to be entered in order to uninstall, similar to other RMMs.
