Active Directory integration for new users
Active Directory integration for new users
Hey,
Atera holds an integration with AzureAD (Entra ID), the integration maps sites/departments to Atera.
The integration syncs licensed users, and has the option to import selected security groups.
On the Enterprise/SuperPower plan, the integration is ongoing.
You can read more about it here: https://support.atera.com/hc/en-us/articles/4409774509714-Azure-AD-Integration
Thank you

Sync on a schedule/when demanded? Mark unlicensed users as such? Super helpful.

... and keep the link to the azure account active. As far as I know, you have to disconnect, and then go to the next customer. It's fine for in house admins, but not for customer administration

This was a feature that I really like in Spiceworks. It would be very beneficial in Atera. it would be ideal if accounts could be unlocked and/or passwords reset.

The ultimate solution would allow end users to log into the Customer Portal to submit a support ticket using the same credentials as active directory.

The sync for Azure AD has been added, but it won't allow us to limit it to a group so you end up pulling in contacts like "hello@somecompany.com" or "finance@somecompany.com"... even the email addresses that get created by a Team can get added! Really really really need to limit the sync to a specific security and/or M365 group.

The ability to link the customer database with an AD, Google Workspace, or Samba directory service.
Also the ability to map technicians to AD using AD group permissions

It would be a great idea if Atera is able to connect to multiple customers' Active Directories and use information contained in specific OUs to create all customer contacts. An agent placed on any member server would be able to accomplish this. Taking it a step further, this functionality could then enable Atera to display AD information int he customer's console and allow the execution of basic tasks (i.e. user creation, template-based user creation, user enable/disable, password reset)

Have you considered syncing your directory services with Atera to sync and manage contacts?
What services do you use and what sync capabilities would you like to see in Atera?
