Supporting a private custom software repository

Chocolatey and Homebrew have over 5000 apps, and pushing in new apps is also easy.
However, we heard that some of you would like their own software package repository and install software only from there.

    in the process of coming back to Atera but can't believe that this has still not been actioned.

    Atera use Chocolatey community, but choco community have 2 big problems:

    1. can not update existing apps or apps not installed by Atera Choco... (with the exception of the list see below link)

    2. In same link you can not overcome ridiculous limits for a RMM software

    Can you at least buy a professional chocolaytey license (https://chocolatey.org/#pricing) ?

    An offline or private repository woul be extremly useful for many cases:
    1. Windows Updates: If more than 5 or 10 clients are managed, it doesn't make sense that each client is using the bandwidth of the internet connection, This is especially true for our managed infratructures on baord commercial vessels, which are using satellite connections.
    2. The majority of our customers is using a huge variety of special interest software , e.g. ERP systems, DMS software clients etc.. Having s private repository which we can manage and keep up to date would be a huge adavantage.
    3. M365 offline installers

    Any updates? I personally would like to upload an installer into Atera and push it to clients from there rather than keep my own repository.

    We're working on providing a solution very soon.
    Wondering if you currently manage a repo and would like to integrate it with Atera to deploy the software to managed devices or would you expect to upload and store the software directly in Atera?

    This is definitely an important feature for any company that wants to push out internally licensed software, like an AV solution or similar. I don't want to create a custom package for our licensed software and upload it to Chocolatey's community repo just to push it out to our endpoints.

    I need this. I have a customer that uses very specific software and must be manually installed/updated every time on every agent. A private repository would be great.

    This is a must-have feature.
    We decided to take on Atera just to realize it is missing custom software deployment.

    Private repository in Atera:
    We rely on chocolatey for software, list of software that we’d like to see on Atera. Not necessarily private. To see some software. We have a lot of health care software and we have to manually update and stuff. It would be nice if there was something automated and we could track that. It really helps with our changes management process.

    This would be a great feature! Setting agent/groups for default software installs would save admins a great deal of time.

    Rollout of custom software is a MUST-HAVE for any RMM. So many RMMs already have this feature.

    Sadly, there is still no ETA or information that it is in deployment

    Since Chocolatey themselves state that the community repository is not recommended for organizational use, it seems that this would be a no-brainer. The other RMM's seem to provide functionality to include executables with scripts or upload thirdparty apps to their software automation. At the very least split Choco out of Atera so that I can set up my own repo and call it from the command line in a script, no?

    Many MSP's have unique application installers per customer, where sharing to a public repository is not a great idea, however, having a personal and dedicated repository option would be fantastic.
