Improved Billing
This is totally open ended. What can we add/improve within invoicing, contracts, billing etc to make your life easier?

All the backend appears to be there for having invoices from Atera to have
1) My corporate email
2) a custom templatePlus features like:
1) A comments/notes field for the overall invoice as well as on each line item.
2) Have either the default contact be the billing contact, or being able to manually set a contact as the billing contact. -

Being able to manualy select currency.. We're from Czech republic and all our contracts are priced in CZK. System forces me to use Euro, no option to change, function is completely useles unfortunately.

Add customer terms setting for customers and allow to be overridden on individual invoices when editing. "Due on Receipt", "Net 10", "Net 15", "Net 30" et cetera.
Add "Set as Billing Contact" in customer contacts and assign as default for invoices. Trying to remember to whom and their email an invoice should be emailed is a pain.
When sending an invoice, the email / invoice modal should contain a text box to add a message to the invoice notification. Maybe a quick follow-up note on a past due invoice or other notification such as address / phone / info change?

It would be nice to offer other payment methods than Bluesnap and by credit card especially for the European and French market and to have invoices in € and not in $ otherwise there are additional bank charges because payment outside Europe.

Let us customise invoices. Can't use the invoices at the moment, they are ugly and can't put custom info I need to put on them.

What we need, is literally "any" credit card processor, to integrate with Atera.
in this "covid induced" remote work trend, how people pay remotely is vital. syncing to quickbooks, then re-sending an invoice from another program(qb) is... not a solution really, especially when multiple tech's are involved. This is just a work around for now. For year end / book keeping, the qb syncing is nice though.To keep proper branding, ease of use and consistency, we need a simple integration, for say stripe or PayPal. (see syncroMSP or wave accounting, etc... they just use stripe, etc... Then we can simply email a bill to a client, they can choose to click "pay now" from within the Atera email and pay by card there.
** Also quite important, to have re-occuring bills, work with automatic credit card payments, (something that does not work in syncro msp very well) such as a small business on a contract or antivirus, who wishes to use a credit card rather than cheque or e-transfer. We could program it monthly, etc... and forget it (until renewal time :)

A SIMPLE STOPGAP
One simple stop gap measure that would not require a lot of work on Ateras' part but would facilitate some sort of reasonable billing using any billing package would be to modify an existing report to produce a document that could easily be attached to an invoice to provide detail.If you look at the Time Sheet report (Reports|Profitability|Timesheet) it might be a good starting point for a useful report for billing by removing most of the columns (or setting up a check list to include or exclude them but I would advocate just removing them to get to something useful very quickly).
Columns:
Keep - Ticket ID
Discard - Customer Name (It appears in the title)
Discard - Contract Name
Keep ??? - Technician Name
Keep - Title (and allow far more width on the report)
Discard - Resolved Date
Discard - Resolved
Discard - Billable
Discard - Invoiced
Discard - Taxable (to keep it simple and not need to get into the individual time entries)
Keep - Hours
Optional Keep - Rate
Optional Keep - Amount (Hours x Rate)
Keep the time entries that appear below the ticket summary.You could put more time into the design and make it even nicer but I suspect Atera could take this report pretty much as it is and create a much more useful report to be attached to billing as a PDF with very little effort - likely less than an hour. PDF in landscape if necessary to avoid needing to do a lot of reformat work.
Again, this suggestion is to get to something useful with almost no work on Ateras' part so we can get something quickly. I'll include a link to an example produced by editing the Atera Timesheet:

It would be helpful if you integrated with credit card companies, allowing an MSP to charge a customers invoice.

Remove or make optional product sync with QB online, our techs do not have access to QB therefore cannot add any new products. Previously if you Added a new product in Atera it would just be created in QB. Now it must be created in QB before it can be used or billed in Atera.
