    What happens if it all goes wrong with atera, what's the plan as there is large swaths of data that exist only in atera with no way to extract the data from the platform.

  2. Misfunction detected on following scenario:

    Rule Trigger: Ticket Requester Responded
    Conditions: no conditions
    Action: Send an Email To Technician

    This action only works when just one of the implied users is a Technician. But when implied users are both Technicians, this action doesn't works.

    I identified this as a misfunction because on complex helpdesk structures it's needed one Technician to create an incident specifically for other higher level Technicians (incident not related with any "normal" requester, but specifically for internal IT troubles between different Technicians).   3. The current implementation on Email Templates vs rules makes it difficult to manage a multilanguage scenario. For N templates representing the same notification in different languages, it's needed to generate 1 rule for each language in order to respond the Requester in an appropiate way on their language. In our case, with an international sctructure of different departments abroad, it's implying an enormous collection of rules than, in essence doing exactly the same thing but in different languages.

    I think would be very useful to develop i18n characteristic on email templates vs rules, as explained:

  4. Wish we could have a profile with a few unique script checks on it, and that we could have 2 different profiles per device. Then it would have been easier considering the customers' unique needs.

  5. Subscription/Invoices:

    A list of Apps that we have selected (example Malwarebytes) and then which customers are using the App and which of their computers that are using it.
    With this we can invoice our customers directly for their usage, without having to do a report every month and enter the numbers manually.

    A list with the invoices that we get from you (Invoice ID, Date, Product, Amount), again so we can make a list of which products we use and the quantity:

  6. Ability to create Global folders alongside site specific folders.

    Creating a Global folder would effectivly create the folder for each site - and allow automations to be run at a global level.

    For example:

    If you have 3 device types accross your estate: General, Server, and Till, you could create these as global folders. These folders would then exist in ALL sites and allow you to assign agents to the folders.

    Most importantly automations could be run and applied to a global folder - applying it to all agents in each folder in each site.

  7. There is no way to retrieve the Technician ID required for assigning an agent to a ticket through the current endpoints for Creation and Update.

    Expose Technician ID in an endpoint
    Expose Technician Email in an endpoint.

    This way we can scale atera into allowing our software to directly assign an agent depending on their skill set.

  8. Long story short: Add "Company Name" to the list of classification options during Azure AD Synchronization Setup

    JUSTIFICATION

    When trying to use the "Import Setup" step of the Azure AD sync, only "Office" and "Department" are listed as options for identifying which Site to add the users to. In our business case I'm over IT for 6 separate operating entities under one umbrella company (each daughter company has its own set of offices and departments so using either of these fields would get messy fast).   9. Sign in to multiple accounts in same browser and switch between them with ease and avoid logging in and out all the time or opening incognito windows to sign in multiple accounts. As we have more than one atera account we are managing this option will really make our lives easier.

  13. Update the Custom portal URL section (https://support.atera.com/hc/en-us/articles/211833798#CustomerPortalURL) , with the following:
    That HTTPs, doesn't work using this method.
    That a user can use a fowarder, i.e. helpdesk.xxx.com -> helpdesk.company.atera.com.

    If a forwarder is used, at least they can still point towards their domain, which forwards to Atera page etc.

  14. When using the API to modify contacts, the email field is not editable. However, in the web interface, you can edit the field. This implies that it's not a data model restraint, but a restraint in the API.

    We currently have customers who move between domains periodically and we have to update their email addresses. We'd like to manage that through an API automation from an external operations system.

  17. Second time i post this, because it is unacceptable. Employers needs to have full Admin access because otherwise they cannot Add an KB Article.

    I would like to have the billing tab hidden for employers.
    When disabling the 'Full Admin Access' and Disabeling the 'Billing information'

    We have the following problems :

    Option to Edit the Knowledge base is greyed out. (why?)
    Option to add an new product in an 'Product and Expense' is not possible. (Action -> Product and Expenses -> Add -> + icon beside product)

  19. To link Atera to some of our project management and knowledge base platforms. A lot of information is stored and updated on those platforms and it will be great to pull it into Atera to the device page, customer page, and even the main dashboard. It can be different note platforms like - Evernote, Jira conference, notion, or even Monday.com.

  20. Instead of setting it up so you have to allow the customers in the atera portal... allow us to deny as well... or allow us to update the customer allow list for user groups easily by selecting all and removing the ones we dont want...

    currently if you already have the group setup and then you go and add all the customers again it will error out saying you already have these customers added...

    you have to go back and either figure out what customers have not been added to this group or you have to delete them all and…
