  2. at the moment you can nowhere can see in the device view of an server/desktop agent if it is monitoring other devices like "generic".

at the moment we swap a lof of virtual servers which monitor certain others things in the network. you finally see it if you want to delete an old, swapped server, then you get the note that there are devices monitored.

you can do notice this if you browse through the device list of a customer which in fact you never do. os as i told you a few times now that in the dashboard "monitored…

  5. I would like to be able to perform tasks in the background, so the user is not disturbed. Just today, I had to confirm drive mappings, ut had to interfere with the users' workflow to do so. I know other remote software can do this to at least some degree.

  6. Splashtop works great most of the time but every once and a while, no matter how many times you try, it fails to connect. RDP as an option under "More Tools" would save the day. This is available in other RMM providers and works wonderfully.

  7. I think there should be a button that force refresh on the Available Patches.

We have a script that force windows updates, and once most of our devices are updated, we need to one by one, manually click on the 'Available Patches' 'manage' button, and once the interface opens, click to manually refresh it.

This all process could be avoided, if we could select the list of devices we want to 'refresh' and then a refresh button to force the refresh on them.

As some devices are just listed on the Devices list, but had been there without any refresh…

  11. A scheduled shut down initiated within the ATERA Console cannot be canceled. The task is not stored in the hosts scheduled tasks. It is stored in ATERA but neither viewable or manageable. Something like a scheduled shutdown has urgently to be managed.

  14. It would be great to see under the hardware heading which network adapter is currently active and what the in/out metrics are. Our remote users are instructed to use the ethernet cable we provide but some try to get away with using their wifi connection, which is not robust or reliable enough for our proprietary software.

  15. the linux terminal display now:

    root@client-server:~$ cd /mnt
    root@client-server:~$

there's no indication of the working directory ^ and i'd like a display similar to this:

    root@client-server:~# cd /mnt
    root@client-server:/mnt#

this displays the working directory before i proceed with the next command ^

  18. it is incredibly tedious to have to assign users to devices individually, during initial deployment of 500 users this is a killer but more over having to do this on per new device ingested lack imagination surrounding automation.

If AD has been synced why not use this data to help link devices.

  19. SNMP monitoring on Printerdevices works when the Printers is online so thats not an issue. But when users turn them off going home for the day or weekend we get a flood of alerts for offline status, however if i then turn off availability monitoring i do not get any SNMP information anymore for toner and drum consumption. We need a way to still get SNMP monitor information but exclude alerts for offline printers.

  20. Would be useful to have the ability to see all devices & assets assigned to a specific user in one place. So when users have issues you can easily see all devices/assets assigned to them. Ideally add, within the user view, a tab with all their assigned devices/assets.
The only tabs in there are "tickets" and "password manager", which is unnecessary for companies, such as mine, where we only use Atera for Inventory management/tracking.
