  1. Have a generic Atera Agent. This would speed up time having to select the correct business for the agent. The generic agent should be tied to the users Atera profile and prompt, in the app, to select the customer for the device added (displays device name).

  3. How often does the web UI and agent communicate?

    Admittedly it's my own fault, but I often find myself working on an agent, shutting it down, and then forgetting that I still need it (or if I'm testing the Wake on LAN functionality before installing a PC). Sometimes I find myself waiting for up to 30 minutes before the web UI reports the device as offline, and so I can't use the Wake on LAN function as the web UI thinks the device is still online.

    Could we either…

    A) Increase the frequency the agent and web UI communicate/check-in

    B)…

  4. Have a way to customize parameters for Agent deployment. With Splashtop company's package deployment, you can customize many things when building the deployment package. But when using Atera to so the same, it builds a basic package and you cannot customize anything about it. Specifically we are looking to deploy the Atera agent but have the Splashtop settings for Enable Direct Connection be turned OFF, instead of the default of ON... Any help with this would be appreciated.

  5. With having to re-image computer quite frequently, it would be nice that the system recognized the same Serial number and not create a duplicate agent. At the moment you need to copy/past the extra data fields/custom fields over to the new one and manually delete the old agent.

  6. The notifications feature should be on Top of Priority, as many times we are working on other apps, and we didn't get notifications on desktop of browser as banner or sound nothing. Until we're back to the dashboard the request often goes away from customer side.

    Also, there should be option of setting different notifications for different sites, but on the first priority is the notification banner or sound at least, without that there's too much difficulty to resolve problems within the required timeframe.

  7. When assigning an agent to a contact, it would be nice to be able to start typing the agent in to help find it. It would stop the endless scrolling of all the scattered agents allocated to a company.

  8. Mac OS free diskspace is sometimes reported incorrectly because some machines use a large amount of "purgeable" data. The terminal-based disk usage utility does not account for this type of data and simply may assume the disk is almost full, when in reality Mac OS does not report it that way since it will delete this purgeable data as soon as space is needed by the OS.

    Atera Agent should be able to differentiate this data type to more accurately report available disk space.

  9. It would be nice to be able to have at least a second connection to an agent when troubleshooting an issue incase you have to bring a second tech into the problem. Currently, if we try to connect a second tech to a session, it just gives us a message stating that a connection is already made to that agent. Agent status would be nice to to see that someone is connected to it and who is connected to it too.

  13. When losing a client there should be a way to delete EVERYTHING; Atera agent, Splashtop, AnyDesk, and any apps purchased through Atera, This should work for any unit online and for any off-line unit when it comes back online, without disturbing the client's users.

  14. Agent should be generic name or allow branding

    White Label branding is in nearly all competitors products to allow branding! Atera should also allow customizing and branding or generically displaying the install program name and folder name, as well as in the Apps and Add Remove Program Files.

    Instead of “Atera” under Program Files or Program Files (x86), or the Apps and Add Remove Program files use something like "ITSupportAgent" or “CompanyNameSupport” Customers see the Atera program and do not know it and uninstall it. If it was the IT department or service providers name they would recognize it.

  15. When making a change on a device, we have to wait for Atera to realise there has been a change. Please give us the option to use a refresh button such as "Get Agent Metrics now" or something similar in order to essentially force Atera to get the most up to date information it can.

With Security ever growing and having some new clients that have had old IT staff "monitoring" other users' PCs including management - we have been asked if we can show the clients' end user when we are online. Splashtop shows it briefly, but we would like the ability to be able to permanently show the end user when we are online - so a banner in the bottom corner stating who is accessing the PC when they are connected - I feel this should be able to be switched on or off in case there are policy or issues where…
