  2. My 500 machines got offline now I have noticed the while doing the reinstallation it's showing online and offline 2 devices with the same hostname.

    1. There is no way to clear the offline machines at a single time, Need to do it manually,

    2. There is no hostname conflict feature in Matera

    3. There is no way to delete the offline machines at one time

    4. There is no option to push the Atera MSI file via the deployment tool. it can

  3. We have recently being having issues where when servers reboot for Windows updates the Atera service doe snot start up in a timely manner, this results in constant alerts for the servers and unable to access them to resolve this issue.

We set the startup type of the agent to "Automatic (Delayed Start)" however when the service is started again it appears to overwrite this setting and reverts to simply "Automatic" which means we are back to square one.

I appreciate that other Atera users prefer the Automatic startup type for speed however for us it is simply not reliable…

  5. Some of my clients are strictly Macs, with no Windows devices. It would be helpful if that Mac agent could function as an SNMP monitoring agent.

  6. The ability to add agents from any scanned device on a network scan, as some customers do not use a on premises domain controller and purely office 365 tenant or Azure AD.

  7. The current Mac agent installer script downloads the installer into the CWD and runs the installer from there. After installing, it does not delete the Atera installer. I request the installer script be modified to download the installer into the /tmp directory on the Mac, run the installer from there (by adding the flag "-pkg /tmp/AgentInstaller.pkg" to the installer command), and add a "rm '/tmp/AgentInstaller.pkg'" to the end of the script.

  8. It would be great to get historic information for disk space (maybe as a report?) to see the trend for the last 6 months, rather than just the current free space.

Coupled with that, it would be great to get a predicted mean time until full based on historic trend.

  9. It seems like we can't install software from Atera on a Mac Device with the current configuration from the console side. Homebrew software installation seems to appear errors to any application that must be installed with Sudo privileges.
This almost makes the Homebrew feature useless. Please enable a feature that will allow us to install any application on Mac Devices remotely

  10. It would be really useful to have the custom agent version available as a download link in the customer portal for self install. Here's how it would work -

    1. We setup the customer and add their users
    2. The user can then login to the customer portal
    3. On the first page they land on there should be links to the custom agent install for Windows & Mac based on the company they are in within Atera.

The biggest problem we have is deploying the agent to remote users. The Mac agent especially as it requires multiple commands to be run from…

  14. Show hard drive active time in the metrics window. Helps to know that some process is using the disk drive at a high percentage and this might be slowing the computer for the end user.

  16. Looking at the event log, I can see the AteraAgent service restarts every minute or so. This floods the windows event log with useless noise.

Is it really necessary for the service to restart so frequently when there have been no configuration changes. If there are configuration changes, it should not be necessary for the service to restart. The only time that should be necessary is when the agent image itself has changed (like an upgrade).

  18. When running down the device list and doing manual reboots it would be really helpful having the Reboot Status known, if you manually already sent the Restart request (Clicked Restart) maybe the Reboot Needed can change to Restart Sent or something like that. Knowing if I already clicked restart on a specific machine is big!! Please Please Please!!! Thanks!!

  19. When generating a new agent installer, after selecting the OS and assigning the new agent to a customer, the third step is to download it. Clicking the "Download" button works fine if we want to download the agent installer to the local computer and put it on a flash drive or something. Only problem with that is that there have been many occassions when I need to send the installer via e-mail, and most e-mail services block this file for security purposes, as it is an .exe file. So instead, I need to send a link via e-mail for the…

  20. Some end users are security conscious, and would like to be notified the entire time a tech is logged in, instead of the window that disappears 20 seconds after the connection starts. Ideally, the notification would stay visible the entire duration of the remote session. TeamViewer has this feature in the bottom right corner, showing who is connected, and their TV ID. Simple click of the arrow minimizes the connection notification, but is still visible to show that a connection is ongoing.

Alternatively, a notice that the tech is no longer connected might make the end user more comfortable.
