  1. Currently the Atera agent on Windows is configured as a service that has a startup type of "Automatic (Delayed Start)". This means that after a reboot, it can take the agent more than 5min to show up as online in the console.

    I don't know about everyone else, but I like to work quickly and this is a real holdup. There are times that I'll be connected via Splashtop and it will quickly reconnect upon reboot. However, other times Windows may have pending updates to install, in which case Splashtop will disconnect because it times out waiting for the agent…

  2. We would like to use the Chat using the agent rather than the chat/messaging used in Splashtop as its very basic. It would be great to be able to use this to engage with the end user before connecting to their device. Where permission can be granted to connect. I feel the chat feature should just be enabled, without the need for the end user to register it or accept the chat, nor need to activate using a token. More customization also, such as the length of time the chat stays open before disconnecting. The ability to disable uploading/adding files…

  3. Display the Disk Active Time as a Percentage under the Metrics panel for Agents. This will help us evaluate if the users are experiencing lag time due to system limitations or stuck processes.

  4. My 500 machines got offline now I have noticed the while doing the reinstallation it's showing online and offline 2 devices with the same hostname.

    1. There is no way to clear the offline machines at a single time, Need to do it manually,

    2. There is no hostname conflict feature in Matera

    3. There is no way to delete the offline machines at one time

    4. There is no option to push the Atera MSI file via the deployment tool. it can
      only be done by AD

    5. There is no information on Atera uninstallation if you can run the
      uninstallation.

  5. We have recently being having issues where when servers reboot for Windows updates the Atera service doe snot start up in a timely manner, this results in constant alerts for the servers and unable to access them to resolve this issue.

    We set the startup type of the agent to "Automatic (Delayed Start)" however when the service is started again it appears to overwrite this setting and reverts to simply "Automatic" which means we are back to square one.

    I appreciate that other Atera users prefer the Automatic startup type for speed however for us it is simply not reliable…

  7. It would be great to get historic information for disk space (maybe as a report?) to see the trend for the last 6 months, rather than just the current free space.

    Coupled with that, it would be great to get a predicted mean time until full based on historic trend.

  10. Within Atera it asks that we define the business Public IP. What would be nice is to view if a user is working at the office or remotely when looking at devices under the customer name.
    One could have a simple reference point to the Public IP that is defined and display a "true statement" if the user is at the office or remotely.

  11. Show hard drive active time in the metrics window. Helps to know that some process is using the disk drive at a high percentage and this might be slowing the computer for the end user.

  13. Looking at the event log, I can see the AteraAgent service restarts every minute or so. This floods the windows event log with useless noise.

    Is it really necessary for the service to restart so frequently when there have been no configuration changes. If there are configuration changes, it should not be necessary for the service to restart. The only time that should be necessary is when the agent image itself has changed (like an upgrade).

When running down the device list and doing manual reboots it would be really helpful having the Reboot Status known, if you manually already sent the Restart request (Clicked Restart) maybe the Reboot Needed can change to Restart Sent or something like that. Knowing if I already clicked restart on a specific machine is big!! Please Please Please!!! Thanks!!

  16. When generating a new agent installer, after selecting the OS and assigning the new agent to a customer, the third step is to download it. Clicking the "Download" button works fine if we want to download the agent installer to the local computer and put it on a flash drive or something. Only problem with that is that there have been many occassions when I need to send the installer via e-mail, and most e-mail services block this file for security purposes, as it is an .exe file.   17. Bind Chat to Agent, NOT the User

    MANY of our clients have users that do not have a company email. This makes it impossible to chat with them. We need the ability to chat with whoever is sitting at the machine instead of attempting to target the user specifically. Then perhaps allow the ability to assign it to a user or ticket.

    This brings up the fact that we should be able to assign an agent to any ticket we want without it being bound to the user.

  18. I really like the agent metrics graph when opening an agent device. It would super helpful if the graph could also show network usage (per adapter - wifi vs wired) and hard drive space usage over time. If a device is suddenly showing a full drive, it would nice to see the usage history. Especially if it suddenly got full over the past couple days.

  19. We have a customer how have som USB license disk.
    These USB Flash pin, does not have any free storage space at all, and the server gives us alarms.

    We could pause an alarm for X days, but the best solutions will be if we could skip disks from the monitoring, but still keep monitor the other disks.
