IT Asset Management

It would be nice to have a way of tracking all assets for a client. Not only the PC's. A way to include monitors, webcams, etc. Also a way of tracking with contact to each item is assigned to.

We'd need below asset management features
- Setting custom field per device type
- Allocation devices to new employees
- Monitoring and submission of assets at the time of employee exit
- Managing the stock of IT assets
- Adding a Location Field and an Asset ID field

If then these fields can be used in the Device views then it would make sorting devices much easier.

If then these fields can be included in the Auditor report then it would make linking these devices to other reports and systems so much easier.

    Hi Atera Team,

    In the instructions you explain a separate field with purchase date, unfortunately there is no report or ticket automation for such a field.
    It would be helpful if we received reports or tickets before the purchase date. The shedule tickets are not a solution because it is double work.

    Would be amazing to add an option to import the existing assets using .csv file.

    This would be a huge add for Atera, and I love the ability to add custom fields on this, such as a date field that could be a reminder for expiration, license, maintenance, either automatically generate a ticket or a warning etc.

    Being able to specifically add iPads, iPhones, Android Phones, etc would be extremely helpful too.

    Super helpful feature, I'd love if the system could manage the assets by tag as well, scan a QR, check-in/checkout.

    looks like the last response from atera was Feb on this though. Any updates?

    Not having this feature is pretty much going to prevent us from picking Atera as a vendor for our RMM. Even Manage Engine's awful Service Desk plus has this functionality and can add assets based on Agent discovery

    What is the status of this feature? While some of this is included in the device section, I think something along the lines of SnipeIT or AssetTiger would improve device management greatly.

    And being able to pull information across from connected devices into that asset database should be considered too.

    Yes please, the more you can document and keep track of, the more secure you can make your network. IOT devices like TVs, speakers, ect. All of these could be at least listed and tracked in order to better address CVEs. It's difficult to know what CVEs need to be addressed if you don't have a good list of all devices in your enviroment. This feature add would be the first step in that direction.

    Please consider to provide custom fields to associate a device with purchasing data (supplier, date of purchase, invoice number, perhaps a direct link to ERP system). A report with such data would greatly enhance business decision support and asset depreciation process.

    Would be nice to add option for alert or reminder when a date field is added to asset to know when warranty expires or battery for ups need to replace.

    Please add a barcode or QR code, which can then be stuck onto the hardware.
    In this way, the annual inventory is quickly completed

    Would be nice to include warranty expiration dates and support links along with serial numbers for assets.

    This would help out so much without having to decentralize asset management. It would be great to inventory hardware other than PCs and network devices.

    Can't believe a solution like Atera cant do simple Asset management just for inventory purposes, for assets like Mobile devices (phones, tables), monitors, printers... possibly event include some kind of QR code.
    Thats basic/out-of-box functionality for other RMM solutions.
