Latest Version in Software Bundles
Software bundles can currently only be created with a specific version of an application. E.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC in version: 2021.005.20058, but Chocolatey can always install the latest version.
It should be possible to make bundles that install e.g. Adobe Acrobat Reader DC in the latest version. Otherwise the packages often have to be adapted.
Thanks to you, Atera is better today than it was yesterday! The feature you requested has been implemented and released!

It looks like Atera fixed this. Packages added to a Software Bundle no longer list the version of the package at the time it was added.

For everyone confused by this - Atera will always install the latest version of an app from Chocolatey, whether the app is installed ad-hoc or added to a software bundle. Apps added to a software bundle are NOT version locked and the latest version will be installed regardless of the version listed in the bundle. I wish Atera would REMOVE the version number of apps in software bundles so it doesn't cause confusion.

It really isn't an RMM without this feature, is it? We need to be able to remotely install software and keep it up to date on the same version. Otherwise why do we even have Atera?

I was surprised when I went to create a Software Bundle and add Adobe Reader to find that the only version available was from 2018 :(

Yes, call it dynamic software bundles or some such. Goal is the latest and most secure version of std software tools are deployed every time. Static software bundles can be for things that you want fixed eg LibreOffice versions. Alternatively, maybe a checkbox for static or dynamic per software name, in a given software bundle. So we can have latest java, adobe reader, but fixed ver of libreoffice.
