  2. add a field on script (and script library) where instructions and other notes could be added. this would be good to have as employees leave or new ones are brought on and they need to know why that script exists.

  6. set up waterfall inheritance model for IT Automation profile:
    Customer -> Folders -> Agents
    so the deepest can override settings of the above.

    Example:
    Profile 1 with OS updates applied to customer "A" has "deny manual updates" Profile 2 with OS updates applied to folders "Servers" of Customer "A" has "enable manual updates"

    this feature should allow profile 2 to overrule Profile 1 (at the moment they conflict) and there is no way to exclude folders from the policy

  7. We have a custom restart script for our users that will remind them to restart the PC after a patch + software update automation profile has been run.

    The problem at the moment is that the script will be ran basically in the beginning or in the middle of the automation profile run cycle which is confusing for the users and some may restart the PC right in the middle of the run.

    We would like to see a script prioritization feature where the admin can decide when to run the script on a client machine within the automation profile.

  8. I would like to see the option to "Create a Ticket" or have it auto create from the screen where I view the Manage Available Patches for a device. Currently there are options for GoTo Agent and Install, but I think it would be helpful to be able to have the system auto create a ticket about the patches being installed.

    This would be handy for billing purposes and just overall tracking of device updates. In a perfect world if you clicked "Install" the system would auto create and auto Complete the ticket when the patch/update was applied. OR if…

  10. Patching is so important now that to have patches fail to install because the user is not signed in poses a risk that patches can be missed within the critical window. If patches could be installed with credential exchange this would resolve the problem 9 times out of 10.

  12. It would be amazing to see the same sort of information in Atera that Windows Settings shows when installing updates. Not only would it be great to see which patch is installing, as another customer mentioned, but even better would be seeing the progress of the installation such as a percentage status, like Windows shows.

  13. Automatically install ONLY defender security updates so we can create a patch automation just for this. It would be super handy for clients who don;t have the money to buy paid antivirus and adds value to us as their support solution.

  14. i see multiple feature requests for the same thing all with multiple upvotes.
    The request is for automation to be run on machines when they come online as the current setup will skip devices that are offline.

    This is such a crucial feature for automation to work effectively as machines will not always be online at your given schedule as users do not always abide by your requests. for the client device to come online and have scripts/automation's in its queue and then action them is critical

  15. Patch schedule calendar integration to be able to exclude dates from patching. Some companies have blackout dates where no changes are allowed. Also be nice to see the actual schedule of patching in a calendar form.

  16. Trigger for generating a new ticket if patches are applied manually through devices tab by a technician. Seeing as this is a manual action by a technician and not done through automatic patch management it would warrant a ticket being generated for a specific agent/contact with a relevant time entry.
