1. 'Run on offline agents' frequency

   It would be great to have the chance to set 'Run on offline agents' settings for specifics IT automation profiles with different frequencies. Actually it's only possible to set the same frequency for all profiles with no exceptions.

2. Skip Patches instead of Excluding

   Require the ability to skip patches instead of excluding them or alternatively exclude them from the reports too. The problem with excluding patches is that they still list as available patches but excluded. When reports are generated, excluded patches still show as missing patches, which in turn pushes down the score percentage.

3. Email Customers To tell them patching is needed

   Send email to user if laptop not patched for x days. Customer tun off their computers and then put them to sleep so the IT automation didn't go through. We need to send them an email to let them know to keep it on

   I think the ability to select multiple software bundles within the Patch Management & IT Automation profiles would be extremely useful for setting up different departments of a company (i.e. select a base essentials and software development bundle for a software engineer)

10. Option for Template Scripts for Big Installers

    Hi,

    First of all, thanks for what you guys do... runs my business, makes my life easier everyday.

    I know my suggestion probably sounds off but basically we have plenty of generic EXE installers that would be great to just have the script reference that installer file but have a different argument per. So as an example:

    If i want to setup a installed for Trendmicro for my client, i have to upload a 200MB generic MSI file, put in the arguments the info that assigns to a specific client, and then save. Then i have to REDO this for EACH client. That adds a lot of unnecessary data upload. What I'm thinking would be great is maybe the following:

    1. Adding the option for that script your creating to be intended to be a TEMPLATE / GENERIC one. When this checkbox is checked, the arguments and other things are disabled execept for the option to upload a file "usually msi or exe". Boom save and done.

    2. When you want to create a script that is based on a template, now there would be a button to press like "Create Script From Template", you get to select that generic template and it just recreates the normal script screen but with the file section prefilled to that templated file.

    i hope you guys get the idea, i think it would be awesome for you guys to save space and saves us time in how we generate scripts.

12. Ability to run automations based on various agent fields, for example Vendor or a custom fields.

    I have various automations that I only want to apply to a specific vendor regardless of customer, or based on a specific custom field value. Currently we can only run automations on a customer at a customer level. We have achieved this in other RMM tools so would be good to see here too.

13. Patch management filter profile by device type

    It would be really important to be able to filter devices by device type (eg. Servers, Workstations) when applying a Patch management profile. Now it simply impossible to create a profile that automatically(!) applies to different device types.

    When applying automation profiles, there seems to be 3 selection options: Companies, individual agents, and folders.

    • The problem with adding a company is that it will apply the same profile to PCs and servers.

    • The problem with individual agents is that it is cumbersome and error prone when adding multiple agents.

    • The problem with folders is that they also must be managed manually to make sure of the correct membership." (My remark: And folders should be created for every client manually which is way too tedious, and also can't have a "Server" folder for all servers across all clients)

    The only solution would be to create two companies for the same client. One for Servers and one for Workstations.

    There are other ideas shared here, which are very similar to this one, but concerning other areas of Atera:
    - Dynamic (filtered) folders: This one might be the solution for this point: "The problem with folders is that they also must be managed manually to make sure of the correct membership"
    - Abilty to filter the devices list

    It seems from other ideas as well that advanced filtering concerns a lot of Atera users in all areas of the software. And these advanced filters should be appliable to every profile Atera uses.

14. Support Automation Profile on Unassigned

    Would be convenient if we could assign automation profiles on the Unassigned folder for customers. It's just not doable to move every single new agent from Unassigned to a different folder just so you can differentiate between servers and PC's/laptops.

16. Wingate Software Updates

    Wingate instead of chocolatey/homebrew: it takes the updates from the editor right away so if there is an issue, it is coming directly from the editor and not someone who posted the update. Chocolatey does not verify the update. Wingate takes from Microsoft. So if they deploy the wrong version, it's Microsoft's fault. It is native with windows 11 and 21.h1 or 21.h2.

18. IT Automation Profile based on Criteria

    IT Automation Profile: Apply it to and create a scope where you can click all of these customers where OS = 2012. And then it will apply the changes to any that have that. Criteria. Any servers that will be added in it will automatically go on it. It will automate the automation.

19. Unselect/Unselect some patching from going through in IT Auto Profile
