  1. We would like to be able to add products and expenses to tickets while in the ticket creation page.

Currently a ticket needs to be fully created, then open the product and expenses menu in order to add products to a ticket. It would be beneficial to workflows of creating tickets where products are being delivered or purchased to be able to add them before opening up the ticket.

  4. It would be great to have a "To Do" or list of actions to complete before a ticket is marked as "Resolved" or "Closed". This is specially good for those "planned tickets" which we must resolve from time to time and we need to complete certain tasks, like "Backup VMs, Patch all Servers, Audit Security Alerts". The To Do list should be part of the ticket and the ticket should not be able to be marked as completed or resolved until all the tasks are resolved.

  5. The ability to pin a reply or internal note to the top of a ticket.
In a lot of cases, customers send the most relevant information in the first comment in the ticket and it would be very convinient to be able to pin that or another relevant reply/note, so that it is always shown at the top, when you open the ticket.

  6. It would be nice if Adding tasks/notes to Microsoft To-Do would open a corresponding ticket in Atera. As well as update that ticket with any other notes and close it if someone completes the task in Microsoft To-Do.

  7. The options to trigger automations should include a change to a custom field. These can be selected as a condition, but, we would like to use them as triggers.

  8. Lock or freeze the ticket buttons at top of the ticket window.

When working with a long-standing ticket, a lot of scrolling is required to read the conversation history. It would be very help to then not have to scroll back to the top of the window to navigate to the agent or add a reply or note to the ticket.

If the six buttons at the top of the ticket window were locked in place, or in a banner at the top of the page, it would make navigation much easier.

  9. Currently there is no way to quickly view/edit timeentries within a timeframe (all of for a client in particular). The manual process to do this is incredibly painful. (go to timesheet, and open manually each ticket, go to time entry, and pinpoint the time entry, save, re-run timesheet, etc.).

Please add an screen to review all time entries.
    1) List the time entries (filter by timeframe, customer, billable or not)
    2) Allow to quickly edit a time entry
    3) Display total

  10. I am currently using another help desk platform but would like to start using Atera's Help Desk. I have open tickets. I want to transfer the open tickets from my current help desk to Atera's help desk platform so that I can start using Atera's Help desk right away

  12. Currently, if there are multiple Tickets open from one Contact, and the Agent is changed on one, it is automatically changed on the other. This causes issues in three cases.

1- If there is a main Contact for a Customer that all requests go through, there will likely be multiple Tickets open for different devices.

2- For new user/hardware deployments, requests generally come from one Contact. We may get a couple in a row, somewhat overlapped, but unrelated.

3- If a user has multiple devices and has a ticket open for each, as stated in the request below

  13. Having a ticket automatically created when a tech hits the Connect button to remotely login to a customer machine. There are times when a tech will connect to a computer to do or check something when there is not already a ticket created. Having a ticket automatically created or opened to fill in by the tech any time they connect would keep them from forgetting to track their time or documenting what they do. We are still using GoToAssist for remote support and at the end of each session a box pops up for the tech to fill in notes…

  15. For example let’s say you have a large project that exists as a ticket such as updating a hosted application. This would include several tasks such as updating the application on the server and then updating the client application at your business locations across the country.
Atera could have a ticket that will act as a parent (For this example it will generically be called Update Application)
Update Application could be assigned to a manager so they can monitor the ticket and create the child tickets update server, update computers at HQ, update computers at branch 1, update computers at…

  16. Custom fields, which are set on a customer can be used in the ticket automation. This way you are able to set values for tickets which can be used in the automation without setting the custom field each time.

  17. When raising a ticket you should be able to backdate/change the time the ticket is logged as being raised.
By default it should be the current time, but there should be an option to override it so you can say it should have been created a few hours ago.
This is useful if you worked on something earlier but didn't raise a ticket at the time e.g. away from desk, busy on another call etc.
Not a huge thing but it can be useful for SLA purposes or if a customer wants to know when work was actually carried out.

  18. You have just been dealing with a difficult case, after hours/days you finally nail it and solve it. You feel great, the world is at your feet, other techs look upon you with awe as if a God walks among them.

Now what you really want to do is add a note to your ticket "This issue was solved by doing the following..." and you provide a summary or link to the article you followed, and then tick a lovely check box that says "this update contains a solution" or something similar.

This will mark this ticket update as searchable,…

  19. Currently there appear to be 3 ticket types.

    1. Email - If a customer emails in a ticket is generated. Denoted by envelope
    2. Alert - If a ticket is raised from an alerts (Server offline, disk space). Denoted by exclamation
    3. Phone - Every ticket manually created is assumed to be from a phone call. Denoted by a handset

We generate certain tickets from other alerts, either from 3rd party monitoring or just on-site/on-device observations. When logging these tickets it appears it came from a call but it did not.

The customer receives an email that THEIR issue has been logged but…
