1. Ability to "Create VBScripts"

   No Option for "Scripts"
   Below our case already shared with Bill Frankel and your Support Team:
   Basically we would like to have the ability to create VBScripts and distribute them to the devices we want them on it.

   Below one example of how we use the VBScripts to be able to distribute and push the script (before via Ninja without any issue) to All workstations and servers. We normally upgrade the version of the Dental Software that the practices use (PMS and Xray Software) and after the upgrade the install will push the icons by default, so we nee to push our customize icon using a VBScript to all workstations and servers (something that we noticed last week when we ran the upgrades is that Atera does not allow us to create VBScripts) and we was needed to do manually to all devices!
   Basically, we modified the “properties” for the icon adding the Server IP (per practice) and the credentials for the SQL database – end users. As we discussed I think this is something that can’t be 24/7 support because is something for your development team.
   Below the example:

   “Set sh = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
   Set shortcut = sh.CreateShortcut("C:\Users\Public\Desktop\softwarerelated.lnk")
   shortcut.TargetPath = "C:\Program Files (x86)\software related\softwarerelated.exe"
   shortcut.Arguments = "ServerName=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx DatabaseName=software related MySqlUser=username MySqlPassword=password"
   shortcut.Save”

2. Option to enable automatic AI suggestions within Ticket Automations

   I would like to be able to enable AI suggested replies and solutions for all tickets received (perhaps within ticket automation rules). Ideally, it would look something like this

   Ticket comes in > AI suggest both a reply and a solution > user can deploy the suggested reply with one click, or override it and write their own reply

   They can manually attempt the solution if it seems viable, or disregard this.

   If it could do this with each subsequent reply in the conversation that would be fab

   the Ai assistance is actually incredibly helpful for us and generates good replies most of the time, but it's a manual process to use it on each ticket currently. Just smoothing out the workflow a little would be very valuable. However, this would have to be an optional feature as I think many users would not like it. Being able to enable it within ticket automation would be even better as then we could assign it to specific customers or contacts tickets only

3. set automation scripts to start when a client comes online

   i see multiple feature requests for the same thing all with multiple upvotes.
   The request is for automation to be run on machines when they come online as the current setup will skip devices that are offline.

   This is such a crucial feature for automation to work effectively as machines will not always be online at your given schedule as users do not always abide by your requests. for the client device to come online and have scripts/automation's in its queue and then action them is critical

4. Set Program to uninstall upon next use

   It would be great to have the ability to select a program from the device inventory to uninstall even if the device is currently offline. The task would que for the next time the device is available.

6. Customizable Step by Step Task Automation

   I would like the ability to create a step by step automation to control the order of which tasks/scripts get installed and insert reboot/shutdown tasks as needed. The automation would complete when all tasks have been completed in order. Having the ability to stop or continue on a task failure would be helpful as well. This would be similar to the automation of a Task Sequence in SCCM.

7. Create ticket trigger under ticket automation rules for patching

   Trigger for generating a new ticket if patches are applied manually through devices tab by a technician. Seeing as this is a manual action by a technician and not done through automatic patch management it would warrant a ticket being generated for a specific agent/contact with a relevant time entry.

9. Interactively chain scripts with choosing/passing results to the next script

   I want to call a script e.g. get-outlookplugins and this one gives back the information about the installed plugins. The last line in the script could be something like:
   [[Atera.Invoke ScriptName Enable-OulookPlugin.ps1 PluginName=$ResultSet]]
   It should then call the Script Enable-OutlookPlugin.ps1 and give the resultset or an value preselected for the variable PluginName.
   For this drop-down selection for script variables would be very helpful.

   I often use scripts to get an information needed in the next script. Maybe the chain or invoke can be enabled/disabled by runtime if atera sees that the script invokes another one. So in this example the get-outlookplugin can still be used seperately.

10. Killing Two Ants With One Shoe

    Title: Add Domain Account or specified accounts to Atera and to Shell/Scripts

    Currently Atera uses system and current user for scripts and shell. Adding Domain credentials to Atera would eliminate storing passwords in clear text under scripts and make management easier for accessing domain resources - network drives etc...

    With a system account - there is no access to domain network resources like drives. Yes there are work arounds using net use and possibly adding a domain account under Services.msc - Atera - Logon - domain account. What if the domain account breaks?....I mean yeah, there is a possibility to powershell that but that does not work at scale and we'd have to touch every end point and the same with changing account credentials.

    Current user - Hopefully our endpoints are local users or domain users logged on. Maybe they should install some software without admin priv right?

    Imagine adding a domain admin or even specified accounts as an option having easier access to domain drives and we don't have to wait for microsoft to fix Winget. Its like killing two ants with one shoe.

13. History of all script executions with script output and script version executed

    We need to be able to see all executions of a script, with the exact code that was executed and the script output. This history should be available from the Script (to see all the times it has been executed and on what devices) and from the Device (to see a history of all the scripts that have been executed on the device).

    Each script execution should be saved in a separate entity with the date, time, device, script code, execution parameters, result and script output.

17. Patch Exclusion - Remove the patch from showing in the patch needed view

    Please can you look at adding the functionality to remove any patch showing in the agent patch available status if the admin has removed or excluded said patches from availability. This will make the view cleaner as currently the agent machine reflects in the needing patches when actually they are up to date.

18. Customer Data should be Variables for Scripting

    All the data that you store for a cutomer
    - customer_name
    - phone #
    - email domain
    - etc.

    should be variables that can be setup to be passed to the IT Automation script variables when you run a script that has variabels

    this way i can setup 1 IT Automation policy that has {[companyname]} variable... which then gets the companyname from the company that the agent is in...

    this would reduce the # of IT Automation policies we need to setup from many to 1... making everything way more dynamic
