  1. Working with big amount of machines through webpage is very slowly and uncomfortable. But for now it is the only way to work with automation profiles.

Could you add an option to work with automation profiles via API?
To get all names of existing profiles, to get information about some particular profile, to get list of endpoints which are applied to it, to add some new or exclude some of them from particular profile and so on... It would be nice to work with it from PowerShell instead of waiting for loading page with each of these requests.
    Thanks in…

  2. This needs an overhaul and the following additional features would be an improvement.

    Scheduled Device Scan for Updates

After updates have completed If a user is logged in prompt to reboot every set period of time until reboot accepted.

After Updates If a user is not logged in attempt to reboot to schedule based on local device time.

Allow local admin credential injection in order to force updates through that require a device to not just be turned on but logged in to work.

Approve or Reject updates and set priority for security and critical updates based on the CVE.

  3. You may have scripts that contain information that pertains to only a single customer. In order to prevent engineers from running those scripts potentially on another customer, it would be incredibly helpful to be able to do either:

    A. Associate scripts with a customer(s)
    B. Have scripts that can only exist with a given customer

An example of a use for this: Deployment of an external or otherwise unsupported security product that requires a customer GUID that is supplied as an argument for an MSI installer. This feature would prevent a mismatch for this scenario from occurring.

  4. We get MacOs in our environment here and there and have a 3rd party antivirus that needs remotely installed and if needed other PKG type applications would need to be installed as well silently. We need Atera to support .PKG file types and know how to install on a MAC via the upload script method.

Having to manually script it is very messy and requires a lot of third-party integrations and sometimes permissions need to be adjusted at the machine level locally. There needs to be more support for silent installation of applications for MacOS for us who can't guarantee…

  7. According to Atera support, Windows Updates installed with Atera are not synced with the local Client PC update history - so no possibility for the client to check the patch level on the device. In my opinion this is a bug, not a feature.

  8. Actually, the Scheduler is really useless for us (and i think for most of your customers).

We have the following patch schedules:

    Test: Thursday in PatchDayWeek
Pilot: Thursday in PatchDayWeek + 1 Week
Prod: Sunday in PatchDayWeek + 2 Weeks

At the moment there is no option to get this running automatically.

    Perfect would be:

Run X (Day, Week, Month) after Plan X

Or Run X (Day, Week, Month) after 2nd (weekDay) of Month

    Any other ideas/solutions?

  9. It would be great if there were the ability to select two choices under Window Update restart configs. The idea being, I have windows updates under Automation scheduled to go at 11 pm every Thursday. My configuration policy is currently set to Allow end users to control device restarts. This is because my end users computers are not always online at 11 pm. So when the computer comes back online the next morning the update policy kicks in and then starts prompting the user. The problem then becomes updates wont reboot the computer the night before because of those prompts…

  11. Please can you look at adding the functionality to remove any patch showing in the agent patch available status if the admin has removed or excluded said patches from availability. This will make the view cleaner as currently the agent machine reflects in the needing patches when actually they are up to date.

  12. To authorize a technician to patch workstations, you need to activate 3 options in the roles (Manage Patch and IT Automation, Manage Scripts and Server Remote Manage).
This way of managing roles makes no sense and represents a security flaw.
In my opinion, enabling the "Manage Patch and IT Automation" option alone should allow a technician to manage patches on workstations (with Manage Scripts and Server Remote Manage disabled).
I don't want a novice technician to be able to administer the servers, let alone the scripts on which we often spend long hours.
I hope that my request will be…

  13. Set some scripts / software installation to run for offline systems as soon as they report online,

Curranty you can install software or run scripts if a system is online, can we set these software or scripts to run for some machines even if it is offline, and it can be executed when the system/agent is online?

  16. we need the ability to see with a view clicks which computers are missing an automation profile so when installing automation profiles you can't forget that a computer has no profile and therefore doesn't receive the updates and stuff.

  17. I have several clients that don't have an AD environment. I am trying to install specialized software not available to the public or that is not on chocolatey. I would like to ask for the ability to create custom software packages with arguments that can be set to install using policies.

Like assign backup Policy that will install my backup on the box and allow me to manage it with the vendor.

Policy that will install a package when agent is installed.

  19. The "Patch Management and IT Automation" landing page only has 1 info about Last Modified date and time. Please include extra info about When was the last time it was run and next time it will run. Similar to Windows Schedular, that way you can have a quick glance on how your IT automation profiles are configured and their health.

  20. Currently when adding exceptions within a patch management profile you must add the exceptions on a per patch basis. However, we are running into instances were certain servers should not receive specific product updates automatically day one (e.g., SQL, and PowerShell).

It would be nice to have a feature that acts as a wild card exception for any related patches to a product existing or future so we don't have to update the policy prior to every maintenance window.
