Add Bios date in Auditor Report - help create list of replacement PC
In order to create a list of PCs to be replaced, having the date of the bios greatly helps
Congratulations on helping shape Atera! The
feature you requested is currently being
considered for development. Please be patient
as the process can take a while or even stall to
make way for other features. We’ll update you
once it’s been implemented and released!

Under the "Hardware" section inside a device where it lists the Vendor, Model, Serial Number, etc.. add the BIOS version that is installed.

Scan for current BIOS version of a given machine. Be able to report on that. Helpful to ensure a given fleet is up to date and not vulnerable. In working with it in the past I know Spiceworks was able to pull BIOS for both Dell and IBM/Lenovo.

Under devices menu -> Device -> "Hardware" can you please add to display BIOS version? (Lenovo, ACER and HP preferably). This is really important to make sure out customers are protected with newest BIOS when cvs are published and patched by e.g. Lenovo. Big Thank you!

Integration with manufacturer updaters like HP SSM/Softpaq Manager, Dell SupportAssist, Lenovo Vantage, etc. In relying on Atera to manage patching on systems, I find this insufficient for maintaining full updates of systems. E.g. A recent patch update on a Dell system indicated the system was completely up-to-date, however the local SupportAssist included an additional 11 driver and system updates including the BIOS. Managing the system BIOS, esp since this has become critical for system security is also a necessity. Not sure if this should be TWO ideas or just one "comprehensive" one. Regardless, need more indepth review to completely utilize Atera for full patch management.

- Hardware section in Agent page does not show disks (manufacturer, size, serial number, SMART status). - Hardware section in Agent page does not show BIOS info (manufacturer, date).

Adding BIOS version to Agent Dashboard would be extremely helpful. In the past, BIOS updates were used as a last resort to fix common hardware issues like mouse/keyboard issues. If you look at most BIOS update changelogs today, they often incorporate security fixes to known CVEs which makes it a security concern. I understand this update would be hard to automate and probably shouldn't be automated due to the room for error. However, I would find it valuable to be able to easily pull a report for all endpoints of a certain model and see the BIOS version so I can compare to the manufacturer's latest version on their website. With the ability to pull a report like that, we can make a list of which computers we need to interact with in order to get them on latest BIOS. I know I can push a script to retrieve the BIOS version but I find that impossible to manage when you are dealing with 300+ endpoints as you'll never be able to stay on top of an updated list. It's also hard when you have to click into each process to view the script result compared to it just being visible in the agent details.

Report needed to to show computers older than 7 years so that the client can budget for yearly hardware replacement. With Labtech I used to use the BIOS date to determinate the age. Option 2 is to use Lenovo, HP or Dell to determine the manufacturer's date the same way these sites can tell you if there is any warranty left on the system.
