  1. Patch Management, IT Automation, and Script retry option, when executed allow the agent to retry a specified number of times before failing. This would prevent a lot of automation failures, and fix 90% of the issues I have with Atera.

  2. This report will allow us to check all machines before and after the patch automation process. It will help identify machines where patching was missed, enabling us to address any issues and ensure all systems are up to date. Additionally, if possible, we would like the option to set up donut charts for subfolders within customer folders to provide a visual representation of the data.

  3. Automate Scripting off of custom fields variables
EX. Custom field is checked then perform y script

Automate scripting off of ticket automation rules.
EX. Ticket has status of "new hire" run script y.

and even allow to apply and remove profiles to users automatically from tickets or custom fields.

  4. Make it so you can use wildcards when monitoring service names. Different versions of Windows use different names for services. For example:
    Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service
    Windows Defender Antivirus Service

If we could enter wildcards we would be able to look for:
    *Defender Antivirus Service
As long as something matched you wouldn't get an alert. Same issue with the firewall. There are different names between different versions.

The next step would be to add logical operators. So I could look for Microsoft Defender Antivirus Service OR Windows Defender Antivirus Service

  5. it would be awesome if we can use the description field in the ticket to setup an automation rule, for example > if the description filed contain a word > assign to technician

  6. As it stands, if we want to use the API to create a ticket and then interact with it, we need to create the ticket and then constantly poll the API to find the ticket.
Since any API request has to involve a response from Atera servers regardless, could the Ticket# of the created ticket be included in the response?
This could be expanded to other API calls, i.e., when you create a customer, alert, contact, device, etc.

  7. To be able to schedule Patch management tasks, this would be useful for Mac devices that require Upgrade patches to be run via Patch management instead of IT Automation profiles.

This workaround is useful for Mac devices that are offline, in order to help automate pushing Upgrade patches

  8. I know the Atera patch management function uses the WUA API to perform tasks, but additional functionality based on a device's vendor would be very helpful. I've noticed that patch management can often miss BIOS and firmware updates rolled out by vendors like Dell or HP, if Windows Update doesn't catch them.

  9. Currently when you push a Windows 11 upgrade to a device and that upgrade finishes installing, the user will get a brief notification that the device will be restarted soon and then it forces a restart. It would be good if there was a way to either have the automatic restart disabled so they user can restart the computer at their choosing or have the upgrade follow whatever Configuration Profile is setup for that device so that it follows the companies normal patching installation procedures.

  10. First of all, It would be nice to have either detailed documentation on how to setup and use IT Automation and Patch Management. I have not been able to find anything that goes into fine grain detail on how to setup IT Automation and Patch Management. I have kind of had to experiment. Not a good way to learn or use a product.

Second, More needs to be done to help with updating 3rd party software, e.g. Google Chrome. I know how to create a bundle to push Software Bundles out to new devices, but I need a way to…

  11. I work in a higher education environment, which means we have computer labs and commons. It would be great to have configuration profiles that can set power plans to entire labs so that during peak periods the computers can be awake and ready for students to use, but then allowed to go to sleep after hours.

  12. I am monitoring a website via HTTPS. When the website goes down it requires a restart of the service. I have created a script that does this. It has to be run on the host manually as there is no link between the alert and the host.

can we have have an option that when the HTTPS monitoring triggers an alert that it has the option to run a script on a host. Still alert to the issue but perhaps be able to resovle it automatically and right away.

  15. some customers don't wanna get notification mails
it would be great to have an option at cusomer data not to send such mails

it would much better, to have that option an the ticket too and its set to the value of the customer on ticket creation.
so we could see if the customer usually gets mails but decide for an other option at creation of a ticket

alternatively a condition "contains not" at ticket automation rules could be a workaround
send mail if customer name contains not "(no mail)"

  16. When connecting a configuration profile to a customer sometimes you want to disconnect the profile to one system.
Only way to archive this at this moment is by not selecting the customer and then per device selecting the profile. Imaging a cusomer with 50 systems and one exeption. You have to manual connect the profile to 49 systems....

  17. We are using a java based tool for connecting PIN paying devices. The tool is build on a specific version of java, any other version will brake the interface. So it woul be cool if we could select blocking based on a partial description of the patch.

  18. In case of a ransomware attack the insurance company can request a prove of proper device maintenance, especially when device is no longer running.
At this moment we have to do a manual copy&paste of screen shots, pretty time consuming

  20. Post-patch reboot policy options for approving a specific time/day window for reboots after a patch has been installed. Some customers have a strict policy for patching and rebooting their endpoints. I am currently using a different RMM and considering a switch to Atera, but this one function is quite important for 2 of my customers and I don't currently see a way to tell your agent that post-patch reboots are only allowed to happen between 10AM and 4PM on Sat or Sundays...

Any way to get the type of granularity added?
