  1. There is only a general IT autmation queue timeout "run on offline agetns" at the bottom of the IT Automation overview.

    It would be great if every IT automation profile would have it's own queue timeout setting to overrule the general setting.
    If not set the general setting can be honored.

  2. So that new functions can be used after almost every update for the automation profiles, the profiles must be recreated and reassigned to all customers/devices

    This was already the case when the scheduling setting was changed and also for the "Windows local update" switch

    unnecessary additional work for us as a system house.

    Simply adapt the database model or better program it

  3. Currently, when in the Client->Device->Folders the filtered view doesn't show the checkboxes to select specific device, or all of them to run automation, scripts etc... We should basically see the same view as in the main Devices when filtered.
    I know we can create specific views by customer and filter by folders but I think we should be able to select the devices in the Customer Folders as well

    Congratulations on helping shape Atera! The feature you requested is currently being considered for development. Please be patient as the process can take a while or even stall to make way for other features. We’ll update you once it’s been implemented and released!

  4. The current "uninstall" function in Atera is extremely basic. There is no way to see the status, no way to schedule it, and it times out at seemingly random intervals, meaning software gets uninstalled from some machines but not others.

    If there was a more advanced way to manage this, including persistence/retrying until the software has confirmed uninstalled from a client/agent, that would be really helpful.

  5. It would be great to have an option to add new customers and the devices under it to existing automation profile. For example, we have an automation profile to enable permission based remote access for Splashtop and every time we have a new customer, we have to manually add the customer to the existing automation profile to ensure that the remote access is not unattended and requests for permission even for all new devices.

  6. The ability to assign a random wait time if you're running a script on many machines.

    For example, if I'm using a script to download and install some software, I don't want to have 400 machines all request for a download from a webserver and tax the traffic or get restricted.

    I know there are delay options for offline devices so it can wait, but it would be ideal to be able to set a random delay, and pick the limit. So, I could apply a script to run on 400 devices, and I can set it to pick a…

  7. It's good if Atera has it's own caching server for avoiding Chocolatey public repo limitations and IP ban, or even better if we can also set ours manually.
    Accessing the choco logs from the web interface might also come into great help.
    I run software updates for 100+ machines on premises and the option of Atera patch management is not usable as is.

  8. Create an option to assign devices to folders automatically based on device name, for example, if a device name starts with "example-" then place in folder "example".

    This is an extremely powerful way of deploying apps automatically with intune and would be highly beneficial for deploying software packages and windows patches unattended. It would also prevent new devices from being missed and left unpatched.

  11. Using the API you can set a Threshold profile when creating a customer folder. I think it would be useful and make sense if you can also set an IT Automation Profile from this as well.
    From this :
    data = {
    "Name": "string",
    "CustomerId": int,
    "ThresholdId": int
    }

    To this :
    data = {
    "Name": "string",
    "CustomerId": int,
    "ThresholdId": int,
    "AutomationProfileID" : int
    }

  14. The ability to nominate a collection of critical services that the agent should automatically try to restart if they are ever stopped. Perhaps with a configurable number of retries before raising a critical alert.

  17. There needs to be an easier way to see which devices require a reboot. I can't check the tooltips next to hundreds of devices only. The tooltips are too cumbersome!

  18. It would be highly beneficial to control the behaviour of the service monitoring threshold item. i.e. when a monitored service is down for 3 checks at 2 min intervals then raise an alert, rather than the service being flagged as down as part of a software update where the services starts and stops.

  19. It would be great if the user's could snooze the reboot after patches. Currently it just tells them it is going to reboot and does it. They have no time to save their work.

  20. At the moment you can only see the top 10 devices but I need to see all devices that have patches outstanding for that customer. At the moment the only way to do this is to go page by page of devices and manually check this.
