Hello, when I add an SNMP device, the system asks me for the client, the folder, and then I have the option to choose any agent present among all the clients. The problems I see are these:
- If you make me choose the customer and folder, it is obvious that the monitoring agent is in that customer. I find it hard to imagine that an agent of one customer could monitor a device of another customer. The problem is that, as it stands, a very long list comes up that isn’t even searchable.
- It would be convenient to have the option, starting from a device, of a nice button "add monitored device" that automatically knows which is the monitoring agent, avoiding unnecessary steps and filling out forms.

I need to give my colleague access to the SNMP library, but I don't want him to be an administrator. At the moment, I don't have the option to assign him permissions for this section only.

Currently, if a SNMP device raise an alert, but a technician will delete/resolve manually the alert, Atera won't generate a new SNMP alert from OID for that device. In order for a new alert to be generated, the OID value needs to change in order not to satisfy the condition, then only if the condition is satisfied a new alert will be generated. This can create issues, as some alert will be missed. The best procedure in this case is to follow the same process as for the Threshold profile alerts, where if we delete an alert from the dashboard, a new one will be created within 24 hours.

It would be important to implement the import of Mib (Managed Information Base) files to Atera
It would be very useful to improve a lot the use of SNMP.
Now you work with individual OIDs, if you could import a specifoic MIB per device it would be fabulous.

SNMP Devices UI is not friendly.

1)Passwords are behind 3 Menu clicks
2) Not possible to reorder OIDs
3) Not Possible to edit an OID to change text or condition value
4) Include a field to display the unit of a specific value .. Example MB, minutes, etc
4) would be great to add some simple arithmetic functions. some of OID numbers need to be divided by a value to make more sense of them. Example Storage use
5) Add the option to graph a value over time

Also adding a threshold if an issue takes longer than X-time.
For instance, if CPU usage is higer than 95% for more than 5 minutes.
Also adding the possibiltiy to exclude certain period, for like backup moment between 23:00 and 00:00

When adding a new device it is necessary to select the "customer" and then the "Monitoring Agent", but monitoring agent list displays all customer, even if a client was previously selected.

In the list of OIDs displayed per monitored SNMP device, in addition to the edit button (which unfortunately only modifies the name) and delete... can add an "add monitor" button so as to avoid 10 clicks and immediately arrive at the page of the selected monitor to be inserted?

In the sequence of monitored OIDs, in addition to "delete the selected" add an EDIT button that actually allows you to modify the parameters while maintaining that specific OID.

Nobody likes wasting time, but in many ways Atera's interface seems designed specifically to waste time.

SNMP monitoring on Printerdevices works when the Printers is online so thats not an issue. But when users turn them off going home for the day or weekend we get a flood of alerts for offline status, however if i then turn off availability monitoring i do not get any SNMP information anymore for toner and drum consumption. We need a way to still get SNMP monitor information but exclude alerts for offline printers.

We should be able to directly track work via tickets on SNMP devices.
We should be able to attach an SNMP device to a ticket like we can agents.

For example, you need to upgrade a Firewall's firmware. you should be able to track that in a ticket and attach the device to said ticket.

When the assigned agent goes offline automatically select an other available agent on the network to monitor the SNMP device

Have SNMP OID's and MBP's available for common types of hardware detected via SNMP, like for popular printer models, as well as switches, routers, NAS, and other popular devices where we can have the OID's pre-populated, as opposed to being forced to Google for OID's and typing them in manually.

It took myself and support (even including escalations) far too long to figure out that if an SNMP device has device availability turned off, it will not trigger alerts at all even if the monitored OID rules have been met.

The monitored OIDs should always be functional and alerts generated, even if device availability monitoring is turned off. For instance, I do not need an alert when someone turns the printer off, but I do need an alert if it is low on toner.

When we set up a monitored OID and expect to receive an alert when the alert is triggered, it is crucial that description of that alert we set up is included somewhere in that email.

Without it, when we receive the alert email, we have to then go back into Atera and into the device to figure out which alert was actually triggered. Small change I feel but would have a huge impact.

You need some kind of device on a local network to scan for SNMP. There's really no way around this. You don't want to be opening your network to the outside even if that was possible. SNMP only works as a local protocol. There is the possibility of having some kind of small appliance but then you might as well just have a local workstation or server do the scanning anyway.
