protect sensitive areas
When I'm logged in to atera I have access to a lot of sensitive informations. Also it is possible to run commands or open command prompt with admin / root privileges. It would be nice to set an additional layer of authentication. For example before I get access to command prompt or change a script I have to enter my password again. FIDO Keys would also be nice to use. So I can insert my FIDO smart card while I'm using atera and can authenticate myself before I access sensitive informations. Session hijacking would work but cannot get my physical…

Screen Lock

MFA\2FA option within the password records
Hi,
If we store our customer's 365 tendency log-in details, we would like to see an option to set up the MFA\2FA and generate the MFA code so that we can improve the security of our customer's accounts.

Can Atera provide the use of multiple passkeys and/or MFA besides the 2 2FA methods available ? By this, it will provide the technician or admins to further secure their accounts and to better manage SSOs.

Filevault
We currently Run Mac, Windows and Linux. A way to pull the Filevault recovery key just like the bitlocker key would be useful when users are traveling and have an issue. You can not always ensure that they have a copy of their key laying around in case of damage that needs to be repaired before they can return home.

When granted access, who is logged on
When I get help from support i'm often asked to grant them access. From that time I don't know who is logged on and for how long. I have some sensitive info in my system, i.e. all my customers equipment.
I trust nobody so I would like to be able to see who is logged on to my system at all times!

One time secret password
From all password locations in Atera have a button to send the one time secret password or generate and send a new one. Similar to www.onetimesecret.com.
For customer contacts passwords, have the option to send to that user or another email the tech enters.
For other passwords ask for who to send to.

Atera Hosted SIEM
Atera Hosted SIEM: smaller healthcare clinics, they would like to have the SIEM built in. little agent that is on the computer and its only purpose is to record and checks for vulnerability – makes a record of everything you are doing on the computer (Websites you're going into, connected to the shared, used an app to open), sort of like auditing tool. Something that you can use to catch security breach. It’s becoming more and more important.

Personal Password Store
The possibiliy to store personal passwords of technicians also for themselves - passwords that only the technician should know (personal passwort safe) for Logins on 3rd party portals for example

notification on shell usage
A e-mail notification (maybe with an authentication code) when remote shell actions get executed by a user or process. This way if ever a user account gets hacked they are unable to directly execute actions on the system without user interaction.

Ability to disable prompt for biometric setup
I would like the option to permanently stop Atera from asking me to set up biometric logins. I already reset my mfa because it was a significant number of clicks to skip the biometric login and use TOTP instead. Now that I have done this, it still requires an excessive number of clicks to login to the admin console because you have to dismiss the requests to set up biometric login.

Option to Disable ChatGPT in Atera.
While the risks of ChatGPT and AI are still being identified, Atera should implement an On\Off button, giving organizations the ability to turn off ChatGPT until they are comfortable with the risks.

Remotely allow installation of reviewed and approved software to non admins
Allow dashboard notification for users attempting to install their own software, that do not have administrative permissions to do so. Give technicians the ability to review and then authorize installation that would "temporarily" grant admin permissions to that specific instance

Scripts should not need the API Key for custom fields
To obtain custom field data in an automated script, the API Key is required to be in the script in plain text.
The agent on the end point running the script should already have access to the custom fields in its own asset and parent customer records.
Please create a Atera Powershell module that can obtain custom field data without requiring the API Key.3 votes -
