  1. How often does the web UI and agent communicate?

    Admittedly it's my own fault, but I often find myself working on an agent, shutting it down, and then forgetting that I still need it (or if I'm testing the Wake on LAN functionality before installing a PC). Sometimes I find myself waiting for up to 30 minutes before the web UI reports the device as offline, and so I can't use the Wake on LAN function as the web UI thinks the device is still online.

    Could we either…

    A) Increase the frequency the agent and web UI communicate/check-in

    B)…

  2. Storage and inode usage can differ so it must be tracked. High inode usage could result in services crashing or freezing.

  3. When we set up a monitored OID and expect to receive an alert when the alert is triggered, it is crucial that description of that alert we set up is included somewhere in that email.

    Without it, when we receive the alert email, we have to then go back into Atera and into the device to figure out which alert was actually triggered. Small change I feel but would have a huge impact.

  4. When a station is stopped, it takes an interminable time for it to appear offline in the dashboard. Could you reduce this time or even make it instantaneous?

  6. Generate agent health report from device page. When investigating a device, it would be handy to be able to generate the agent health report right from the device page instead of needing to choose reports, customer, device name then generate which takes you off the device page.

  7. Hello,

    Is there any way to get notification for every hour for "Machine status unknown"?
    The Atera notification "Machine status unknown - agent has not established communication within the expected interval." was sent only once per server. This should be sent every hour while the server is offline

  9. Enable Availability Monitoring on newly installed agents since workstations need to be manually enabled. This would make it easier to have agents be monitored when adding new ones so they are not forgotten

  10. Allow agent to gather and report any peripheral data (SN / Model #) for easy inventory and checking based off one device.

    Example:
    "What does John A. have connected to his laptop?"

  12. More visibility for when an agent is offline. For example, out of 35 devices are working fine, 5 devices that are not, and i have 0 visibility to see why, so i'm in a blind spot where the customer is telling me that it is online and trying to reach out to Atera AWS site but i have no visibility. Need better ways to view the logs and i can't troubleshoot.

  13. Contracts of the type "Remote Monitoring" currently includes all agents - also retired once. This means that a client will keep paying for unused clients.
    I was told by support to manually check our hundreds of customers for "online since" devices and correct the billing every month.
    There must be a way to exclude retired devices in the contract

  14. None of the Linux text editors (Nano, Vi, Vim, etc.) work in the Atera portal's Terminal window for Linux clients. It's not possible to support Linux computers without being able to edit scripts and config files, and the Atera agent for Linux provides no other way to do this.

  15. When I create an agent while it is still offline the history graph will show 'Up' even though the status of the device is offline. Support calls this the designed behaviour which I find really weird. An offline device should show offline until it has been online.

  16. Add a menu to the agent where the users can perform basic troubleshooting tasks "CLI PS1 commands" curated by us so they can do a DNS flush without intervention of a technician.

  17. Please provide an option for a legacy OS agent. even if that agent doesn't have all the capabilities of the current agent, it would be nice to have some limited features and monitoring for our Servers that are in a static configuration and cannot be upgraded.

  18. Would be great to add be able to add more notes on a Agent.
    Being able to add more rows would be very helpful.
    Ex.
    Backupserver - BACKUPSRV01
    Hypervisor - 10.0.0.12
    Would make it easy to locate which backupserver the host backs up to or which hypervisor the host is located on.

Online device: Activity in metrics before the device is online – there is still an unnecessary delay of up to 3 minutes before atera marks a machine as “online” even though you can see from the metrics screen that it knew it was alive 3 minutes prior to that and capturing data – so why can it not mark the machine as online straight away – this leaves the caller wating on the phone line for a further 3 minutes before after the machine has been turned on/rebooted/joined to the wifi/ before we can remote control their machine using splashtop.…

  20. I would like to see an option to create an Ad-hoc VPN from a remote user with Atera Agent installed back to the office network with agents installed. This would be helpful to push out certain Group Policy updates and also allow software deployment from the corporate repository and Password management and sync for remote / office users.
