It would be beneficial to create and associate an Asset ID or Tag that can be printed for an asset. There are many ways to approach this issue from an ITSM perspective. It could be a straightforward solution that generates a unique Asset ID based on the Asset Template selected in the Asset Management Dataset. This fixed ID cannot be changed, so a label is generated as a QR Code or Barcode, which remains consistent.
The challenging part with labels is formatting templates for printing. An alternative approach could be to create a unique field that accepts barcode or QR code data, which can then be imported as a CSV file into Atera and easily searched by scanning the code into the system. This option might be optimal since labeling formats can vary between organizations. The most important aspect is ensuring barcode data improves searchability within the system.

Asset management is not searchable. Adding that feature and also adding it to the list so you can look or sort asset tags.

Agreed. This would be a very nice feature with the ability to use different printers.

This would be so helpful. It would be nice to be able to use a Dymo printer to print the asset label.
