1. Expose installed software inventory via the API

   Hi,

   We make heavy use of the Atera API and overall it’s solid. Device inventory, patching data, alerts etc are all there and work well. It’s one of the reasons we’ve built around Atera rather than trying to work around it.

   One thing we keep hitting though is the lack of installed software inventory via the API.

   In the UI, Atera clearly has visibility of what software is installed on each device, but via the API we can’t get that same data. We can pull hardware details and patching info, but not the actual list of installed applications.

   That’s a real limitation for us in day-to-day operations. Software inventory is what lets us:

   spot unauthorised remote tools or leftover MSP software

   identify risky or outdated applications

   audit customer environments properly

   build meaningful reports without manually digging through the UI

   automate any kind of software-based checks or remediation

   Without that data exposed, we’re forced back into the UI or into separate tools, which feels like an unnecessary gap given how strong the rest of the API already is.

   We’re not asking for anything exotic. Even a basic, read-only endpoint that returns installed software per device (name, version, publisher if available) would unlock a lot of value and let us go much further with automation and reporting.

   It would also make Atera far more compelling as a single source of truth for device state, especially for MSPs who are building their own tooling on top of the platform.

   Just wanted to raise it as this is one of the biggest blockers we keep running into when using the API.

2. API Enhancement: Add 'LastInternalComment' and 'IsSolution' Properties

   We request two specific additions to the API to improve ticket management and documentation:

   Ticket Endpoint: Add a LastInternalComment field (similar to the existing LastEndUserComment).

   Comments Endpoint: In GET /api/v3/tickets/{ticketId}/comments, include the boolean status IsSolution for each comment object.

   Context & Why this is useful:

   LastInternalComment: We need to quickly see the status of a ticket based on the last technician note, not just the user's reply. Currently, we have to download all comments to find the last internal update.

   IsSolution: When syncing tickets to a knowledge base or sending final reports to customers, we need to programmatically identify which specific comment solved the issue. This data exists in the UI but is missing from the API.

3. Clear up oversight in a posted script

   Frequently, ALL of my installed agents (across the few customers I have) suddenly show up as offline. I was previously a Starlink customer, I now have fiber; this has happened with both providers. I'm aware of the recent Cloudflare outage; this has happened before the outage, so it's not that.

   Using the PowerShell script from https://support.atera.com/hc/en-us/articles/215955967-Troubleshoot-Atera-s-Windows-agent... nothing came up as wrong.

   HOWEVER, looking under Category: Atera Agent Version, it shows the following:
   AteraAgent.exe Version: 2.5.0.0
   AteraAgent.exe not found at C:\Program Files\ATERA Networks\AteraAgent\AteraAgent.exe

   The version... my portal shows 2.4.7.0, but the Details tab of the executable shows 2.5. But the "not found error", while technically correct, the listed path is incorrect. The correct path is C:\Program Files\ATERA Networks\AteraAgent\Agent\AteraAgent.exe.

   Checking the script, in the Function to check the version of the Atera agent, it IS looking in both locations, but the result is that it only finds AteraAgent.exe in one... that's correct. I think the script needs some cleanup to be clearer and more specific. For example, check both paths, confirm on which path the agent was found, and the alternate path only becomes significant under certain circumstances.

   Example:
   Write-Host "$([System.IO.Path]::GetFileName($path)) Version: $($fileVersionInfo.FileVersion) found at $path" -ForegroundColor Green

   I hope that helps.

4. Add Patching Status to the Public API for Dashboard Integration

   We’d like the patching status to be exposed via the API (e.g., per asset/group with timestamps and current state). This would allow seamless integration with external dashboards and monitoring tools, enabling centralized visibility, trend analysis, and alerting without manual exports.

6. Monitoring of phonenumbers and SIP-Trunks

   A possibility of monitoring the availability of phonenumbers and SIP-Trunks would be great. You should also get a notification, if a number is unreachable.
