"Update all" button on Devices page
I believe there should be a button within the navbar of the Devices tab that once selecting specific machines, allows you to update all patches on those machines, rather than doing a report, manually clicking all unnecessary machines or doing it patch by patch on the Patch Management page.
Hi,
Thank you for your valuable suggestion. While we won't be implementing this idea in the immediate future, it has been added to our list for future consideration.
We continuously review user feedback to inform our development priorities, so your idea remains on our radar.
Best regards,
The Atera Team

Hi Scott,
Please check the OS Patches tab right next to it. It will give you the possibility to install a specific patch/update(s) for all devices that apply.
However, what you suggested is valid and there are plans to look at this page too. Thanks!

I want to be able to use the Patch Management window to install patches on selected devices via the checkboxes next to them.
Selecting the devices to Patch or Update does not give option to Patch or Update. Reboot is the only option? Please add ability to Patch or Update.

Agreed. Not a good idea. It will just confuse junior admins and techs as well because it won't work half the time. Patch Orchestration takes time and planning, unfortunately. Maybe one day it won't. But that's more of an OS thing. Hot patching is in GA on certain Windows editions. Maybe it will come and things like this could be realistic. It isn't now.

The idea is to streamline updates for selected devices only, with confirmation steps and respect for existing patch approval policies. It’s about reducing manual work, not removing safeguards—risky systems can be excluded or require extra approval before updates.

That's a very bad idea imo. It opens up a door to all kind of unwanted updates by mistake.
Making it harder to use is actually better in this case, less options for mistakes (just think about upgrading the SQL version of a critical, version-controled DB) -

In the Devices view in Patch Management, enable select all and install, similar to the Reboot feature. It is tedious and time consuming to review and apply updates individually.
