Subject: Feature Request – Global / Bulk “Software Inventory Refresh” for Online Devices > > As a customer managing many endpoints, I need a way to refresh the Software Inventory for all currently online devices in bulk, instead of opening each device, going to Live Manage → Software Inventory, and clicking Refresh individually. > > Ideal behavior: > - In the Devices view, allow selecting all Online devices and choosing an action like “Refresh Software Inventory” from the top action bar. > - The refresh can be queued and executed when each device next checks in / sends a heartbeat, so it’s resilient even if some go offline mid‑operation. > - Once completed, reports should reflect the updated software state across all targeted devices without requiring per-device manual intervention. > > Why this matters: > - I rely on software reports to verify that specific applications have been uninstalled across my tenant. > - Today, some machines still show software that should be removed simply because their Software Inventory hasn’t been manually refreshed, even though the devices are online. > - Manually forcing a refresh one device at a time is extremely time‑consuming and slows down bulk management work. > > A bulk / scheduled software inventory refresh tied to device check‑ins would significantly improve accuracy of reporting and reduce operational overhead for managing multiple devices.
