  1. Desperately need various roles for non-technical people to be able to access Atera for PSA and Billing purposes.

    Sales people should be able to add customers/customer information, but never be allowed access to RMM functions like devices or scripts or anything technical--but the option to grant those permissions should also be there for technical-minded sales people. (Think Sales Engineer who moved to that role from Field Tech and helps clear ticket queues from time to time)

    Billing people should be able to add/edit customers, do invoicing, manage ticket information (like correcting spelling errors) etc... but not have access to anything…

  2. We enabled WOL (Wake on LAN) on our desktops. It would be great if we can schedule a WOL packet being send to offline computers before processing the automation task. So we never interupt the end users by processing the updates outside office hours.

  3. Change to Availability Monitoring to become part of Alert Threshholds so that they be used customer/account wide easier

    Alternatively: an API method to set it enabled/disabled,
    or a param to use using install to automatically add agent to account and set Availability Monitoring to enabled per default for the device.

  4. Set an alert schedule for different customers/The ability to automatically snooze alerts for certain periods of time each day.

    This has been a slight issue for us due to patch management causing high CPU and Memory usage alerts to be created so we get lots of alerts overnight.
    It would be nice to be able to snooze these for particular customers but to be able to do it automatically or on a schedule.

  5. Implement ADD integration.

    Allow AAD users to be able to sign in to the Customer Support Portal, instead of having to create accounts for every user, and then assign them to the relevant company based on email address.

  6. I saw in latest release that users can now have device control as well as monage scripts and patches etc without admin permissions but admin permissions are still required to edit knowledgebase.
    I would suggest a toggle to allow / disallow access to:
    Custom Fields
    Ticket Automation Rules
    Software Bundles
    Thresholds
    SNMP Templates
    Email Templates
    Knowledgebase

    This will make it easier to delegate hman resources to roles without needing to give full admin permissions to edit / create a KB Article.

  7. Please add the ability to allow "New or Existing users to submit a ticket without the need to login to the portal.

    The ability to embed a form or something on my website that give users the ability to submit a ticket which can then be updated or attached to a client from the admin side, or automatically based on their domain.

    I have found that clients often forget to use the support portal and end up sending tickets to my personal email, to which then I must go manually create the ticket.

  10. Hello,

    We will be using Atera as an internal helpdesk. All of our Customers are the locations that we manage. Currently Atera only allows you to enter a ticket for a Customer and the Contact that is within that Customer.

    We need the ability to switch the Customer on the ticket and keep the same contact as our staff work across multiple portfolios. This will allow us to bill our time to each Customer accordingly and maintain the correct contact.

    Anything that Atera can do to make this possible will be greatly appreciated.

  11. I would be useful to limit technicians to see only some threshold profiles and only some scripts.
    The scripts could be organized by folders.

  12. I am using some backup products like Veeam and Microsoft Data Protection Manager by using Wasabi as backend storage. Wasabi is insanely cheap, with prices of 6 USD per 1 TB of data.

    It would be very nice to have some sort of backups capabilities using the Atera agent or other integrations, and use Wasabi for its price as backend. Nowadays a good backup which is encrypted and protected is the ONLY real solution against ransomware.

  16. The ability to query a device's WMI and then set a custom field in the agent's record would allow us to then use those custom fields with filters. For example, query the processor type and then set a custom field to read either Intel or AMD.

    I can see this working as a WMI query function built by Atera or an added feature to the installed agent that allows a script to send data back to the agent which would update the record.

  17. We should be able to audit who accesses what devices and when, including shifty Atera staff who get 4 digit pins from us and start accessing our customer computers whenever they want.

  20. It would be great if Atera had some sort of notepad for keeping notes on various things. Maybe just a tab on the left side pane, or maybe per customer or device. This would be a great feature. So far, this is just about the only thing that our old RMM has over Atera. Please, bring us this feature!!! I've seen places for notes, but they are very deep within too many menus.
