  2. Similar to other reboot requests, I would like to reboot at a given time only after a patch install. For instance, a workstation would reboot at 3:00 am only after a patch requiring a reboot was installed. Kaseya has this feature and it’s something really miss.

  5. A Patch Management page, Not a report. Where we can see all available updates. Approve/Deny/Postpone them. Also see how many devices are missing said update and click install if needed.

    in the same place an overview of what devices are currently downloading/installing/updating/Failed live view

    I have tried using the report and clicking install all missing patches but this does not work. However going to each individual asset and clicking select all > install works.

    So to recap an actual patch management page, where we can manage all systems/customers etc

  6. Currently, when in the Client->Device->Folders the filtered view doesn't show the checkboxes to select specific device, or all of them to run automation, scripts etc... We should basically see the same view as in the main Devices when filtered.
    I know we can create specific views by customer and filter by folders but I think we should be able to select the devices in the Customer Folders as well

    Congratulations on helping shape Atera! The feature you requested is currently being considered for development. Please be patient as the process can take a while or even stall to make way for other features. We’ll update you once it’s been implemented and released!

  7. Currently when software is installed via Chocolatey, there are no logs or records available from within the Atera Web UI

    If a software package install fails for example, we get an alert saying that something failed and to check the device log files, but in order to do that, we either need to remote on or use a remote command prompt / powershell prompt

    There should be an integrated way to view the log files from the Atera interface without having to go looking through the PC.

  8. A possibility to update software and apps that were not installed via chocolatey and homebrew would be a very important function. This should also be possible for installations that already exist when the Atera Agent was installed.

  9. I would like the ability to create a step by step automation to control the order of which tasks/scripts get installed and insert reboot/shutdown tasks as needed. The automation would complete when all tasks have been completed in order. Having the ability to stop or continue on a task failure would be helpful as well. This would be similar to the automation of a Task Sequence in SCCM.

  10. We would like to see a option to have scripts assigned to certain technicians so not everyone can see all cloned scripts. We are looking to add customer technicians which allows them only to access tickets/devices for that customer with will work ok, but there is no option for segmentation of scripts. This technicians would be able to see all clones used for other customers. Same goes for Thresholds/IT Automation.

  11. Create an option to assign devices to folders automatically based on device name, for example, if a device name starts with "example-" then place in folder "example".

    This is an extremely powerful way of deploying apps automatically with intune and would be highly beneficial for deploying software packages and windows patches unattended. It would also prevent new devices from being missed and left unpatched.

  12. Reporting Criteria.........When doing patches, if you exclude patches, they still show up in the reportings as overdue/missing. Example: I do not patch automagically say HARDWARE updates. When you do a patch report, it looks horrible because it showing as MISSING, which it IS, but INTENTIONALLY. There needs to be a way to filter out for reporting purposes to see truly "what is missing".

  13. The ability to run scripts at User login like you would a script delivered via GPO. As an MSP I like to keep the secret sauce close to home and not on the client's servers.

  15. Title: Add Domain Account or specified accounts to Atera and to Shell/Scripts

    Currently Atera uses system and current user for scripts and shell. Adding Domain credentials to Atera would eliminate storing passwords in clear text under scripts and make management easier for accessing domain resources - network drives etc...

    With a system account - there is no access to domain network resources like drives. Yes there are work arounds using net use and possibly adding a domain account under Services.msc - Atera - Logon - domain account. What if the domain account breaks?....I mean yeah, there is a possibility to…

  16. Set some scripts / software installation to run for offline systems as soon as they report online,

    Curranty you can install software or run scripts if a system is online, can we set these software or scripts to run for some machines even if it is offline, and it can be executed when the system/agent is online?

  17. You may have scripts that contain information that pertains to only a single customer. In order to prevent engineers from running those scripts potentially on another customer, it would be incredibly helpful to be able to do either:

    A. Associate scripts with a customer(s)
    B. Have scripts that can only exist with a given customer

    An example of a use for this: Deployment of an external or otherwise unsupported security product that requires a customer GUID that is supplied as an argument for an MSI installer. This feature would prevent a mismatch for this scenario from occurring.

  18. Please can you look at adding the functionality to remove any patch showing in the agent patch available status if the admin has removed or excluded said patches from availability. This will make the view cleaner as currently the agent machine reflects in the needing patches when actually they are up to date.

I would like to request that automation task feedback email have more information about the patches it installs eg. name of actual patch installed and what vm's/pc it got applied to e.g. computer name. Currently it will just say how many agents in the task and if it was successful or not. Another feature that would be great would be to be able to schedule an existing ticket and not just a new ticket.

  20. Could it be possible to run a script against an API.

    We use a 3rd party helpdesk it will be good to use the helpdesk to call the API to run a sctipt. The 3rd party desk already grabs the machine details you see so we would like to run a script against it
