  1. Ability to separate the "optional patches" from the rest of the patches, so it doesn't show that some devices still need to be patched.

    Optional updates are the updates that you don’t do unless there is an issue with the hardware. Atera scans for all missing patches. It is missing the optional updates but will consider it missing patches. For it to be considered as fully patches, it needs to have the optional. What ends up happening is that we fact in fact patches system but for the tech point of view, the tech would think they need to patch…

  6. There should be a way to download the patches to a client beforehand. Or to cache in any way. If you have 10-20 servers (or more) in an automation profile, and there all updates have to be downloaded first, downloading and installing takes quite a long time. Unfortunately, the updates are getting bigger and bigger. 10 GB or more is not uncommon for an update, which then has to be downloaded by every client...

  9. A Patch Management page, Not a report. Where we can see all available updates. Approve/Deny/Postpone them. Also see how many devices are missing said update and click install if needed.

    in the same place an overview of what devices are currently downloading/installing/updating/Failed live view

    I have tried using the report and clicking install all missing patches but this does not work. However going to each individual asset and clicking select all > install works.

    So to recap an actual patch management page, where we can manage all systems/customers etc

  13. We have moved from Ninja to Atera and the difference in Policies is a bit disappointing.

    With Ninja we could have company wide policies applied to "Servers" or "Workstations" and a Mac, Windows and Linux option.

    However, we don't seem to have an option like that with Atera, instead we have to make sure to manually apply server polices to servers and workstation policies to workstations.

    Each Policy would also give us the option to setup alerts and scheduled tasks/script which doesn't seem to be in Atera.

  16. Execution of automation profiles in dependence of each other, i.e.:

    Run folder/group one on Microsoft Patch day (2nd Tuesday of month)
    Run folder/group two one week after automation profile 1
    Run folder/group three another week after automation profile 2
    and so on....

  17. It would be helpful for scheduling patches if we could specify a + number of days as part of the schedule. For example, the second Tuesday of every month +5 days. This would let us build patch deployment times around patch Tuesday with consistency.

  18. It would be great to have an option to add new customers and the devices under it to existing automation profile. For example, we have an automation profile to enable permission based remote access for Splashtop and every time we have a new customer, we have to manually add the customer to the existing automation profile to ensure that the remote access is not unattended and requests for permission even for all new devices.
