Manage available patches in folder under customer
On the device page there is a manage available patches button, but when going tin to folders this is not available.
It would be very helpful to have this option under folders as well.2 votes -
Defer Windows updates
We find that windows updates rolls out certain updates too fast which can cause severe downtime for customers when Microsoft pushes out a faulty update.
For that reason, we prefer to defer updates for 14 days.
Using group policy, you can set this up or use registry as follows:
[HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate]
"DeferQualityUpdates"=dword:00000001
"DeferQualityUpdatesPeriodInDays"=dword:0000000e
"DeferFeatureUpdates"=dword:00000001
"DeferFeatureUpdatesPeriodInDays"=dword:0000000eI'd like to see the ability to specify an age for an update to reach before Atera installs it. If I set the age to 14 days, If an update comes out, Atera will wait 14 days before considering its install. This would give…

Assign a baseline policy for what software and settings should be applied and auto correct/reinstall if a change is detected. Similar to SCCM baseline configuration.

Self Service Portal for Software Installation
I would like to give users (even without administrative rights) the possibility to install software via a self service portal. And not only via Chocolatey, but also via script.

Private Scripts
We would like to see a option to have scripts assigned to certain technicians so not everyone can see all cloned scripts. We are looking to add customer technicians which allows them only to access tickets/devices for that customer with will work ok, but there is no option for segmentation of scripts. This technicians would be able to see all clones used for other customers. Same goes for Thresholds/IT Automation.

Optimized Automation and Patch
Need to find a better solution for patch and automation.
The fact that you can't run Updates, System Restore Point, and a Restart all on one profile without it running into conflicts makes little sense to me.I have now made 9 total profiles (3 sets of 3 [we have 3 different types of patch profiles running at different intervals]) to fix this. For each type we have to run System restore point, then 1 hour later a separate schedule for patches, then 2 hours after that a different, separate profile for restart. Hopefully it works.
While it isn’t really…

Reboot after patch install
Similar to other reboot requests, I would like to reboot at a given time only after a patch install. For instance, a workstation would reboot at 3:00 am only after a patch requiring a reboot was installed. Kaseya has this feature and it’s something really miss.

So that new functions can be used after almost every update for the automation profiles, the profiles must be recreated and reassigned to all customers/devices
This was already the case when the scheduling setting was changed and also for the "Windows local update" switch
unnecessary additional work for us as a system house.
Simply adapt the database model or better program it

Run scripts as specified user
It would be great to be able to:
--> run scripts with users - other than SYSTEM or current user
--> run scripts as credentials stored in the Atera Password-Manager19 votes -
Automatically add new customers to an existing automation profile
It would be great to have an option to add new customers and the devices under it to existing automation profile. For example, we have an automation profile to enable permission based remote access for Splashtop and every time we have a new customer, we have to manually add the customer to the existing automation profile to ensure that the remote access is not unattended and requests for permission even for all new devices.

Patch Management & IT Automation list page
When you click Admin then Patch Management & IT Automation
On that list screen it would be awesome to see "Next Execution Time" as an option.Instead of having to click inside each one to see when it runs next.

Random Delay to Run Script
The ability to assign a random wait time if you're running a script on many machines.
For example, if I'm using a script to download and install some software, I don't want to have 400 machines all request for a download from a webserver and tax the traffic or get restricted.
I know there are delay options for offline devices so it can wait, but it would be ideal to be able to set a random delay, and pick the limit. So, I could apply a script to run on 400 devices, and I can set it to pick a…

IT Automation queue per automation profile
There is only a general IT autmation queue timeout "run on offline agetns" at the bottom of the IT Automation overview.
It would be great if every IT automation profile would have it's own queue timeout setting to overrule the general setting.
If not set the general setting can be honored.6 votes -
chocolatey rate limiting
It's good if Atera has it's own caching server for avoiding Chocolatey public repo limitations and IP ban, or even better if we can also set ours manually.
Accessing the choco logs from the web interface might also come into great help.
I run software updates for 100+ machines on premises and the option of Atera patch management is not usable as is.9 votes
