  2. Problem: Atera sends one alert when losing connection with a device. If you miss the alert or get side tracked you are not notified again.

Solution: Allow for an alert to be triggered every <custom amount of time> until alert is cleared.

  3. If a Critical ticket is opened , that's good thats what we want but if it then auto-heals itself, it should update and close the ticket and not open itself again later on.

We were advise on the alerts, within admin console, you can tick for auto ticket creation, whenever we do that we get bombarded with alerts, it doesn't self heal. and then it gets another tickets. it causes absolute hell when we turn it on. Keeps creating brand new tickets, it doesn't update the original one.

Even if we say it in the 15 interval, problem is if…

  4. Detect services configured to "Automatic" or "Automatic (Delayed Start)" (agents already detect services and states), expanding on this to combine alert capability when one of the applicable detected services state is "Stopped" or "Stopping" (i.e. not running).

  5. Ability to ignore a certain event ID or disable alerting on it. We have certain hardware that throws emergency event IDs but are informational only. These happen on reboot so we get a ton of alerts a day with an event that is of no concern. I would like to be able to flag it to be ignored or auto closed without email alert.

  6. Add the ability to create a threshold item such as a Powershell script that can generate alerts based on whatever value the script returns. I have a lot of custom monitoring going on in the RMM program that I am currently using and it will be difficult to figure out how I will continue that monitoring if I choose to make the switch to Atera.

  7. It would be really good if we could tackle issues on a preventative basis. Such as if the C: is getting full, Atera would notify the user directly with an email or alert to inform the user that their C: is nearly full and to look to clear out space. Rather than notify IT who then notifies the user.

  8. Fix all alerts by allowing to create a filter to filter out stuff that is SPAMMING. Everyone should be monitoring software install and uninstall but your implementation is so SPAMMY is unusable.. such a waste of time when a few lines of code could fix it.. you know it's a problem, fix it.

  9. Event By Source could be very powerfull if you add the possibility to define a filter ID (Events to Exclude (comma separated)) like there is in Event System. In this way is possible to receive alerts from specific source in any case and decide if any specific event ID can be ignore.

    For example:
    - Category: Events By Source
    - Source Folder: Other
    - Custom Folder: Directory Service
    - Event Severity: Warning
    - Source Names or Event IDs: Microsoft-Windows-ActiveDirectory_DomainService

    • Events to Exclude (comma separated): 3041

In this way I get all warning alert releated to Directory Service but ignore only…

  10. Need a new threshold type where you can compare the previous value to the new value and alarm based on a delta.

I.E. on a WAP if the number of connected users drops by a value or a percentage

  11. Whether I'm under customer alerts or all alerts there are filters, but we are missing a filter by agent. This could be done just the same as the advanced device filters. We collect so much data on alerts but there's no way to see all the historical alerts for a single machine.

  12. Allow setting up of alert notifications to clients via email. We have requests from clients to receive device alerts on email, it would be nice to have a feature where you can set up a mail alert and recipient. We have been able to get some sort of notification via some custom automation rules, but this does not come close enough to be viable for customer use.

We are able to do the above with comodo......

  13. Change the Alerts FROM email address. Instead of "noreply@atera.com allow customizing your own domain name and sender, ie; myalerts@mycompany.com.

Then if a customer would like to also see or receive the alerts it will be from your company rather than noreply@atera.com which creates more questions.

  14. The ability to couple alerts together. At present I receive many alerts when the fans on macs are low or not spinning but this is due to the devices being idle and not generating enough heat for the fans to spin up, but turning off the monitor is something that we don't want to do. What would work is the ability to say take the CPU temp threshold along with the fans speed and then flag that. Since if the fans are not rotating possibly not working) and the CPU is high then we would know that there is potentially…

  15. Monitoring agents for Microsoft Azure.

    Monitoring agent for Azure AD

It would be great to have the possibility to monitor Azure Element like Azure VMs, Storage Accounts, MySQL Database, PostgreSQL Database, SQL Database, Load Balancer, Virtual Network Gateways, Traffic Manager, Webserver, Certificates, Kubernetes, ...
It would also be interesting the collection of some metrics for historical view.
Azure costs could also be monitored

  16. Allow the option to set a period of time to NOT send alerts. For example, "If device has out-of-date patches for more than 3 days, Alert".

This is an option for hardware thresholds (CPU temp above 60C for 15 minutes). Our reports throw a lot of red flags for items that are scheduled daily or every 3 days. I want the reports/alerts to trigger if there has been a persistent issue, not if there happens to be an issue at the time of reporting.

  17. we had to switch to script-based queries for Windows Event logs because Atera does not allow custom labeling for alerts in the alert dashboard. The events are signaled with an Atera-specific label and the corresponding event ID. Since we operate the alarm dashboard on a wall-mounted TV for quick responses, it is not helpful to only see "just an event ID". As a custom name for alerts is possible for scripts but not for event log queries, we suspect that your development team may have simply overlooked this. Having custom names for the alert dashboard for all queries would certainly…

  18. It would be nice if you could automatically generate alerts/tickets based on Assets with an expiration date approaching.

For example, if I create an asset for a Software or Hardware Maintenance/Support agreement. Atera should able to send an alert or create a ticket for that asset based on the defined expiration date. You could allow the customer to define the threshold for how far in advance to send the alert.

  19. We would like a widget in the dashboard for disk capacity alerts. as this is one of the biggest reasons why we took Atera. Unfortunately we cant monitor this properly now.

  20. The ability to monitor file shares.
Maybe by selecting a monitor agent,
    and giving a network path.
