  2. It would be nice to add rustdeck for remote connections. It should also be possible to use self hosted rustdeck server.

  3. More visibility for when an agent is offline. For example, out of 35 devices are working fine, 5 devices that are not, and i have 0 visibility to see why, so i'm in a blind spot where the customer is telling me that it is online and trying to reach out to Atera AWS site but i have no visibility. Need better ways to view the logs and i can't troubleshoot.

  4. Contracts of the type "Remote Monitoring" currently includes all agents - also retired once. This means that a client will keep paying for unused clients.
I was told by support to manually check our hundreds of customers for "online since" devices and correct the billing every month.
There must be a way to exclude retired devices in the contract

Nice! The feature you requested is being reviewed by our product team. We’ll keep an eye on the number of votes, and let you know if a decision is reached to implement. Thank you for being a partner in our process!

  6. In Continuum: we get a call that the site is down. Somebody from them is calling to let us know. ‘we’ve detected that server on site B is down.’

  7. Agent should be generic name or allow branding

White Label branding is in nearly all competitors products to allow branding! Atera should also allow customizing and branding or generically displaying the install program name and folder name, as well as in the Apps and Add Remove Program Files.

Instead of “Atera” under Program Files or Program Files (x86), or the Apps and Add Remove Program files use something like "ITSupportAgent" or “CompanyNameSupport” Customers see the Atera program and do not know it and uninstall it. If it was the IT department or service providers name they would recognize it.

    Branding…

  8. Allow the agent to gather and report any information (S/N, model number, manufacturer) on attached peripherals (mice, keyboard, etc) to allow IT departments to take inventory of these devices.

  9. Dynamically assign an agent to a customer folder based on the device host name
e.g PC name = Customer-Admin-01 is moved to the Admin folder for that customer

  10. Pretty straightforward. Allow the Atera agent to be installed silently via Intune, like it could previously. The agent can be installed silently via GPO on a domain, and Intune / Azure AD is just the next iteration of that.

  11. Instead of just showing whether an agent is online/offline, should also indicate status of user, Kaseya has this feature.

    If agent is online:
    - user is logged in and active (actively working)
    - user is logged in and inactive (idle)
    - user is not logged in

  12. Kaseya has this feature that allows an admin to view the user's screen without actually remote controlling in. This allows an admin to check if the user is actively working.

  13. From what support tells me 20 installs per minute limits any software deployment to small batches. Aside from the limit, the network potentially chokes up at the internet line. These are limits that need/can be managed. For example... determine if the software is already installed, and if not, determine the number of IP addresses receiving the request, round robin downloads by randomization of a delay between 1 - 15 minutes and peer to peer share the downloaded file for deployment or designate an agent download point inside the network as preferred method if available.

  14. None of the Linux text editors (Nano, Vi, Vim, etc.) work in the Atera portal's Terminal window for Linux clients. It's not possible to support Linux computers without being able to edit scripts and config files, and the Atera agent for Linux provides no other way to do this.

  15. Atera has made some great changes when monitoring Windows event logs, but there are still some features that would make it much more valuable.

I would like to be able to filter events based on the contents of their description. Let's say I'm monitoring the Application log for any events generated by the Application Crash and Application Hang sources. While this is helpful, it generates lots of noise and unnecessary alerts. Since there are a limited number of critical applications that I'm worried about, I want to specify those application names in the monitor so that Atera only generates alerts…

  17. When we first started with Atera we had to enter our Atera user passwords to run the installer from the user space. I'd like to bring this feature back or at least the ability to set at password at installer creation. If this feature already exists I am unaware. I do not like the idea that if someone were to get our installer they could easily add invalid devices to our console.

  18. When I create an agent while it is still offline the history graph will show 'Up' even though the status of the device is offline. Support calls this the designed behaviour which I find really weird. An offline device should show offline until it has been online.

  20. Add a menu to the agent where the users can perform basic troubleshooting tasks "CLI PS1 commands" curated by us so they can do a DNS flush without intervention of a technician.
